Headphone Recommendations?
Sennheiser 600, 490 pro, 550. I've tried them all and while I slightly preferred the 490s with the mixing pads the cups were a bit on the small side and I couldn't wear them for long. They did not quite match the mid range of the 600s, but they had better bass extension. Personally of the Beyer's I'

Hd600 OR Hd650
There's an argument that unit variation in the 600 series (600, 6xx, 650, 58x, etc.) can be greater than the difference between the models, but at least the units I've heard have been consistently bassier on the 650 (or 6XX, the North American version of the 650 originally sold by Drop.com). But it'

Ancient HD600 Resurrection
Cable and pads can be bought from Sennheiser-Hearing web site. Last time I checked the cable was around $13 CAD and the pads $49 CAD. Check both the entire headband or the replacement headband pad are available too. Note that all three items can be found as genuine Sennheiser parts on Amazon. https:

Best over-ear headphones people actually recommend ?
I’ve been using the Sennheiser HD 600 for a while, super comfortable for long sessions and really natural sound. Just keep in mind it’s open-back, so not great if you need isolation

Headphones
I use open back headphones (Sennheiser HD 600) because they let your ear breath somewhat compared to your typical sealing over-ear headphones. It does take some time getting used to the sound if it's you've never tried them. I do use earbuds when needed but not for long periods. Sometimes, I will on

Mixing headphone testing - London
Sennheiser HD560s/HD600/HD650 depending on what you are comfortable spending. I used 560s and 650 for most of college in our school's control room. I use Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm for mixing. WIth Oratory's EQ presets, they are kick ass. too bright ootb without eq however. They are 9.5/10 in com

Trying to decide if HDB 630 are worth it over Sony XM6
I've still got my HD 600 headset I bought in 1997. The HDB 630's remind me a lot of them, but I've had them about 2 weeks, so take that into consideration. Sound signature is similar between the 600 & 630. The 630 may have a little less sound stage, but we're splitting hairs and it's due to the clos

Best beginner audiophile headset setup?
For a beginner you might want to consider one of the Sennheiser HD6x0 varieties. You might want to consider the venerable HD650/HD6XX. It can be bought for a reasonable price and will serve you well even if you decide to invest in more headphones or earphones. Of course, the HD600 is an option. I st

Looking for a Step-Up from ROG Kithara (Keeping the K7 Dac Amp)
i've been down this rabbit hole. the natural step up from Kithara is the Sennheiser HD 600 or 6XX. they keep that open-back soundstage but add more detail and smoother mids. your K7 drives them easily. Sennheiser HD 600 is the classic for a reason - super comfortable for long sessions. just know the

HD600 replacement earpads unavailable
Can take a look on audiosanctuary, a large distributor of headphone parts based in the U.K. However, they might cost more than getting the pads directly from Sennheiser. https://www.audiosanctuary.co.uk/sennheiser-hd545-hd565-hd580-hd600-hd650-earpads.html Stock pads are definitely the way to go, ba
