HD 599 SE

So I've been playing with my friend and it's happening quite a lot that I'm not hearing crows or dogs getting set off while my friend is. Does anyone have recommendations for headphones I could switch to? I'm currently using Sennheiser HD 599 SE.

I have Komplete Audio 1 interface, so it must be the headphones fault is my guess.

The sound has a muffled, rumbling feel to it which sounds very cheap, I'm not sure if it's because of the low bass or earpads or something else, but it's there, and I'm not sure why.
