new to quality headphones pls help

The 599 is old school 500 series Sennheiser. Very warm with lack of detail. It's good for low quality harsh recordings. The 560S is a massively more performant headphones with a close to reference sound and much more extended into the sub-bass, but it will sound painful on bad quality recordings

Is it still a good idea to buy the QC Ultra headphones (Gen 1) right now?

Just bought QC Ultra (Lunar Blue - love the color!). I got it from a local online store here in Poland for $194, as it was open box customer return. However they are new in mint condition. I’ve used them for just two days, but I already absolutely love them. I also have old Bose QC 25 and Ultra are

HD560s vs HD599 thoughts and questions!

I find the 599 to be significantly warmer, and darker than the HD 560S. They are basically complete opposites for me in terms of sound. The ear pads should be identical, but it's possible for them to be shaped slightly different from the factory. Also, the headbands are plastic, if the 599 is too lo

Headphones becoming more dark and dull with time?

Yeah, that could be the case. I did go back to my HD 599 and they were even more dark and veiled of course. I guess I just have a feeling the difference was larger back then.

Prefer the sound of HD599 over Arya Organics

So you don't like Arya Organic. I get you. Personally, I don't like the HD599. It sounds muffled and veiled to my ear. As far as Sennheiser goes, I much prefer the HD6X0 varieties over the HD5X0 varieties, especially with OTL tube amps. To my ear the Arya Organic sound amazing. Its my favorite headp

Regret buying...

hifiman and audeze were my saving graces for audiophile sets. everytime you ask for a recommendation on here it’s always sennheiser, so i went thru 5 pairs, 569, 599, 560s, 6xx, 650 and thought maybe this hobby isn’t for me. i grabbed a pair of 400se b stock when they were something like $60 and imm

What headphones do you use with your digital piano?

I Have Sennheiser HD599 but I can't say I'm super pleased with the sound despite not being bad.

Brand New Sennheiser HD 599 SE – Crackling in Right Ear Only During Bass, Defective?

Hey everyone,

I just received my brand-new Sennheiser HD 599 SE today, but I noticed an issue right away. There's a crackling sound in the right earcup whenever bass hits. The left ear sounds perfect.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

Tested on multiple devices (phone, PC)

Tried both included cables

sennheiser hd 505 vs hd 599

If you can find them on sale get the HD 550 I have the 599 and the 598 (not tried the 505) buy the 550 they are miles better than the 599 Saying that things are not better just a different in presentation. The “better” is my own preference in sound signature.
