Yeah, I know they must sound better at least because they are wired headphones and just because Sennheiser has great headphones in general. I use my HD599 with my MacBook Air M1 since it’s my only device with the 3.5mm jack.

Cheap audio chips have gotten very good. If I recall, the HD 599 only needs about 1Vrms to reach 105dB. So a dongle like the FiiO KA11 or even the North American version of the Apple dongle will accomplish that.

For the HD 600, I mean it's said that it's not difficult to drive. In my brief 2 month experience and years on the HD 599 SE.. Buddy the thing is you can drive it, heck the 3.5 mm jack on my Moto 60 Stylus can drive it too. But these drivers shine when you give them a little more juice over the top.
