I just received my brand-new Sennheiser HD 599 SE today, but I noticed an issue right away. There's a crackling sound in the right earcup whenever bass hits. The left ear sounds perfect.

You’d have no reason to know! Older generations of Sennheisers with similar builds didn’t; I think the 599 might have been the first one to ship with a removable cable (and I think it came with a 1 M and 3 M; 3 M cables are so annoying that I always replace them. bought the HD 599 SE, but literally as I plugged it in only one ear worked.

I tried both the long and the short cables, tried it on my phone too. Everything resulted in only the left ear playing.
