Regret buying...

hifiman and audeze were my saving graces for audiophile sets. everytime you ask for a recommendation on here it’s always sennheiser, so i went thru 5 pairs, 569, 599, 560s, 6xx, 650 and thought maybe this hobby isn’t for me. i grabbed a pair of 400se b stock when they were something like $60 and imm

Never Buying Sennheiser Again.

Sorry i can't comment on the MTW 4, But to share my experiences as of late: in 2016 i purchased hd 598 from Amazon, they still work to this day, they've been dropped, mishandled and all sorts, i have slammed them (Stupidly first few years, thanks league of legends), they work almost fine, they rattl

Brand New Sennheiser HD 599 SE – Crackling in Right Ear Only During Bass, Defective?

Hey everyone,

I just received my brand-new Sennheiser HD 599 SE today, but I noticed an issue right away. There's a crackling sound in the right earcup whenever bass hits. The left ear sounds perfect.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

Tested on multiple devices (phone, PC)

Tried both included cables

No a

How to stop the cord from tangling?

You’d have no reason to know! Older generations of Sennheisers with similar builds didn’t; I think the 599 might have been the first one to ship with a removable cable (and I think it came with a 1 M and 3 M; 3 M cables are so annoying that I always replace them. Cheers and welcome to the club! Oh!

Tried yet another hd 599se - first pair in 2026, distorts during bass as per usual.

I feel like it. I used to use razer electra headsets for my pc - then in 2016 experienced the hd 598 - amazing, no issues, 10 years later, i'm struggling to replace them with NEW headphones that do the SAME job. The hd 490 pro is the one headphone everyone tries brainwashing you to think is "the one

Yeah but i had several hd 490 pros that also had major QC issues - and they ARE from THE sennheiser. I made posts regarding them last year and got tons of hate - now i search "hd 490 pro creaks" and i am finding more and more people are posting about it over time. Also FWIW, 1 bad pair does not mean

Uhh... I just responded to your other comment where i got the indication you was trying to be an ass but let it slide, this one is clear though. Get your fanboyism away from me. Thanks. The HD 599 distorting is indeed hardware. There's a bloody video linked.

Can someone explain EQ? Using soundblaster EQ there's a slider pre 31hz, is this "preamp"? and how's it work

Not sure, everything seems to be downvoted these days. But yeah, i do love the hd 598 i have, it's super weird though, reading reviews on the 598 also shows similar THD to the hd 599 but my hd 598 and a preowned pair i got off ebay, don't distort like the hd 599 at all. I have tried a few of sennhei

How are the HD599’s plugged into a ps5 controller

For what it's worth i just returned my HD 599 SE because the drivers were unbalanced, the right ear was noticably louder / voices appear to come from the right. Maybe it's just my luck first time trying a premium brand like sennheiser but i'm very disappointed with this headphones , i guess they can

Brand new Sennheiser HD 599 Special Edition headphones, one ear not working

Hey,

bought the HD 599 SE, but literally as I plugged it in only one ear worked.

I tried both the long and the short cables, tried it on my phone too. Everything resulted in only the left ear playing.

[bought it from amazon.de](https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07Q7S7247/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3
