I’m so tired of these audiophile dorks commenting on every fucking gaming headset question. I’ve had sennheiser hd 490 pros, beyerdynamic DT 900 pro Xs, sennheiser hd 560s and guess what i still use a gaming headset. Nothing better than a wireless headset with a good mic. The Razer BlackShark v3 has

I have been playing with the HE1000SE and I absolutely love them! I’ve never heard audio like these. I switched from the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro and the HD 800 S. So I don’t have any other experience with the other HiFiman models. But I will say, my journey is complete lol

I own the HE1000se and all I do is game on it. I had the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro and the HD 800 S as well. Those were great for gaming and especially the 800 S for competitive play. But the HE1000se, once I picked those up, I knew I’d never pick up my Sennheisers again. They are amazing! Basically the

It’s not nearly as black and white as that, though. The Consumer division still includes legendary lines like the HD 500, 600, and even 800 series, which continue to set standards in their respective categories. New releases such as the HD 660S2, HD 620S, and the brand-new HD 505 and HD 550 have all

I am probably not the most helpful in this question - but I tend to listen to all types of music (metal, rock, EDM, pop, dance, classical, jazz, soundtracks) - and I usually and exclusively prefer the HD660s2 for that for it's warmer analytical sound. HD490 pro are a bit more exciting and bit more b

Sorry i can't comment on the MTW 4, But to share my experiences as of late: in 2016 i purchased hd 598 from Amazon, they still work to this day, they've been dropped, mishandled and all sorts, i have slammed them (Stupidly first few years, thanks league of legends), they work almost fine, they rattl

The A50’s are the only headset that I consider to be good pair of gaming headsets. I used to use them before I upgraded to a pair of Sennheiser HD 599’s and actually do kinda miss them to the point I’m on second hand marketplaces trying to find a good deal on a gen 3. After upgrading again to a pair

If you want to go around $150 to $200 range AND still have the bam 500 mic compatible then look at the 560s (more comfortable and gaming focused) and 599( more music focused). I personally have the 599 with the bam mic attachment. 400 range. If gaming and comfort are you top priority then hands down

Sadly, a used Sennheiser HD 800 will likely be just outside of your budget. The HD 600 is a solid, classic choice. It has some of the best sound quality you can get at any price point. I'm not a big fan of the HD 560S or the HD 490 Pro, personally. But the HD 550 is also a great choice.

My expectations and preferences shifted over many, many years. From crappy on-ear headphones used for listening to cassettes and CDs on the go as a kid, over free included earbuds in a phone box, bluetooth headphones, all the way to studio reference open-back headphones. For a long time I was always
