I love my OLED, but this just hits different.

I’ve got a 65” Samsung S90F that is beautiful. Modern games look amazing, but it’s hard to beat the motion clarity of a CRT and the scan lines of the Trinitron for older games.

77" Samsung S90F?

RTINGS doesn’t really fully account for some of the stuff Sony is best at, most notably Motion handling, but that’s a lot more relevant for movies than games (OLEDs are really bad at 24p video). I own the 65” Sony XR8B which is basically a Bravia 8 and I love it, but I got a stellar deal on it about

Have you moved from newer tech back to plasma?

I just replaced my Hisense U8K miniLED with a Samsung S90f OLED. While I love the HDR and super bright color picture, it's still got it's draw backs. I would say motion below 60hz can be worse than either the TV it replaced or the ST30 plasma I have obviously. But it still has a lot of benefits. For

77'' Samsung S90F vs LG C5

Both great options. You might be able to find the C5 lower if you keep an eye out - I've seen prices of $1,500 - $1,700 reported the past week or two, especially if you have a Costco membership. I have an S90C and an S90F and love them. I chose them over the C5 because they were the same price, but

What monitor to get for my ps5 pro?

A 4k OLED TV. Consoles can only lose from a 1440p resolution, unlike PC. Consoles can only lose from using a monitor, unlike PCs. OLED > MiniLED VA > MiniLED IPS >> VA >>> IPS. Get anything but a "normal" edge-lit IPS. TVs are generally cheaper like-for-like for the size, offer 120hz, which is all y

LG C5 or Samsung S90f

i feel you on wanting those 120hz and vrr features for the pro. between these two, the lg c5 tends to handle vrr and game mode more consistently across different sources, while samsung can sometimes have flickering. that said, if you're already happy with tizen and samsung's motion handling, the s90

LG C5 vs Samsung S90F vs Philips820

Well... I can say the same. Had a Samsung Q70R TV - fine for 6 years, sold it in perfect condition. Had a C24FG73 monitor - fine for 6 years, sold it perfect. Have a Neo G7 32" monitor now, for 2 years - zero issues. Had an S95B for 4 years - no issues. Now have an S90F and an S95F - no issues, apar

LG C5 vs Samsung S90F vs Philips820

I've recommended TCLs to a lot of family members on a budget - C805 and C7K were a steal, though I've played around with them quite a bit and their motion is 10 times worse than Samsung's. So is their local dimming algorithm - my old Q70R FALD Samsung blows them out of the water in terms of letterbo

LG UltraGear GM9 miniLED terrible backlight bleed

That's nice, glad it's worked out for you. Those are my use cases too. I'm a brightness freak though, and OLED monitors can't satisfy me just yet. Because of that brightness, I burn in OLEDs quite fast and I wouldn't risk it with PC productivity. And the text fringing just makes it feel so much wors
