USA. Within the Samsung Shop app during extended cyber monday sales. I bought the GW7 brand new for $68, by trading in my GW6. Then, the GW7 started to have sensor issues due to water ingress. So, I decided to try and trade in the GW7 for $200 off the purchase of the GW8.

I resetted mine and did work BUT 😭 only for 24 hours and then the issue returned. Same with my wife's GW6. Samsung has completely forgotten the fact that S26U is bluetooth 6.0 and didn't update any of the watch manager plug-ins accordingly at all. This is an unthinkable incompetence from a multibill

same had happened to my gw6. done mutiple resets, cache wipes etc... still ended up with a laggy messed up watch. it was perfect before the upgrade. F##$ samsung.

It's worth contacting where you bought it from, who will probably then put you through to Samsung and push for repair under warranty. I have a GW6 and the same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, after having the watch for about 20 months I went into the pool with it on holiday and it died.

I purposely did not get a GW 7 or 8, because I knew those would not be compatible, so hoping I could just make my GW6 watches last for many years. Samsung/Google really should have warned us about the implications of UI 8/OS6 killing so many watch face apps. Good luck getting an older model and hope

IMO no but it really depends on the individual. I'm on a GW6 and performance really suffers on the latest One UI 8 Watch. I would personally recommend to go at least with the GW7 I'm also a regular user of the running coach but Samsung gatekeeped it for the GW7 and above with the latest OS update
