I picked up this deal last December, replacing my Galaxy Watch 6. It's amazing how much better this works with my Pixel phone. I highly recommend not trying to pair a galaxy watch with a pixel phone.

Mines a GW6 I bought less than 2 years ago, and I already switched away from Samsung Phones for similar reasons part way through owning this watch. Gonna have to look for a new watch brand soon too

I purposely did not get a GW 7 or 8, because I knew those would not be compatible, so hoping I could just make my GW6 watches last for many years. IMO no but it really depends on the individual. I'm on a GW6 and performance really suffers on the latest One UI 8 Watch. I would personally recommend to go at least with the GW7 I'm also a regular user of the running coach but Samsung gatekeeped it for the GW7 and above with the latest OS update
