I have the samsung galaxy tab s6 lite and it works absolutely fine. It was also very cheap, but doesn't feel cheap imo. Now I must say I am used to budget phones.

I've got the Samsung Galaxy tab s6 lite and I use Samsung notes on it. it works for everything youve described, tho im not sure how good the windows app is. you can write on pdfs, although actually navigating the PDF is... uhhhh.... difficult (hyperlinks don't work and it doesn't save your position.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 owner here, 10.5" OLED 287 ppi 420g vs. 274 ppi 498 g for the 11" Tab S9. It´s 60 Hz, though, but still amazing in 2026 for my use. Runs Android 12, didn´t bother to install a newer custom ROM because it runs just fine.

if newer samsung tablets weren't so expensive, I'd recommend them highly! I've just sold my galaxy tab S6 lite for a tab S9+, but the S6 was AMAZING throughout year 11, sixth form and taking on commission work/personal work! held up incredibly strong for 4+ years. I find standalone in general to be
