Soooo how bad are royal kludge boards really?
honestly for beater boards to test switches, rk is fine. they're not high end but the price is hard to beat. had an rk84 for a while and it held up ok. for $75 total for three boards, that's not bad at all. if you can solder, most issues are fixable. grab a cheap switch sampler pack to test stuff ou

Keyboard under 75$
kinda tight budget but totally doable. check out the Redragon K552 - it's TKL, wired, and under $50. get the version with red switches (linear, quieter than blues). another solid pick is the Tecware Phantom 87 key, hot-swappable so you can swap switches later, runs about $60. if you want 75% specifi

Recommend keyboard?
honestly the terminology can be overwhelming at first. for $70-80, i'd probably look at the Royal Kludge RK84 or Keychron V1 - both solid 75% options. 'creamy' usually means smooth switches, 'aluminum' is case material. what worked for me as a starter was getting a hot-swappable board so you can try

Royal Kludge RK N99
Royal Kludge keyboards really sound hollow and plasticky out of the box. Very entry level yan sa mechanical keyboards. RK din ang first keeb ko (RK84), but managed to mod it with foam + tape mod, filled the hollow spacebar with foam, changed the switches to Akko Cream Yellows V3, and swapped the sto

Is it possible for Valve to release a first-party keyboard and mouse with Steam Machine?
Why would they do that? It kinda defeats the purpose. Plus there's tons of really great keyboards that don't have RGB or gamer heavy desgins. I daily drive an RK84 and have done so for the past 4 years with no issue and 90% of the time RGB is turned off Swapped out the original key caps and it's bee

is the Kisnt KN85 good?
i ran into this same issue last month looking for a budget board. the Royal Kludge RK61 is what i ended up with and honestly it's been solid for the price. wireless works perfectly and battery lasts forever. if you want something a bit bigger the RK84 is also around $50-60 and has more keys. both ha

Any recommandation for a ~35€ 80% keyboard ?
ngl we've all been there with the redragon. for around 35 euro the Royal Kludge RK84 is tough to beat - solid build, wireless if you ever want that, and the hot-swap sockets mean you can fix switches yourself later instead of tossing the whole board. the keychron c1 is usually right around that pric

Silent gaming keyboard?
