Any quiet mechanical keyboards?
Look for keyboards that use red or silent red switches. Steer clear of blue switches if you want it to be quiet.Check out the sales for Redragon, Royal Kludge, and Keychron that suit your budget. The RK61 or Redragon K552 with red switches is a good, cheap option. If you want something that's really

What do you think of this keyboard?
This one is easy so far, if their web app is hosted at QMK.something it's the scam. If you see "usevia.app" or "vial.rocks" it's at least emulating QMK. Emulating? Yes, there are proprietary boards that are "VIA compatible" or "QMK compatible" that have ported the VIA module to run on top of an emul

$75 USD Keyboard Recs
Unless you get a Keychron any tri-mode board you buy will be violating the QMK GPL because everyone else uses the Westberry hardware, and Westberry refuses to comply. Oddly enough the Royal Kludge RK61 is in the QMK repo. https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/royal_kludge/rk61 I ha

Quiet keyboard recommendations
The only RK keyboard I would recommend is the wired RK61 and only with custom firmware. The stock firmware has awful layout. No keyboard comes with really good silent switches. You will need to swap them out anyway. For a wireless board, either the Nuphy Air60 v2 (the previous generation) with Gater

Are there any vendors selling reliable, QMK-compliant, entry-level keyboards?
The Royal Kludge RK61 is in the main QMK repo and cheap. The standard layout is kind of screwed up but since it's qmk it can be fixed, and the firmware builds reliably... if you have a look in my GitHub I've got a vial port for it. It's a 60% of course but with mod-tap arrows you shouldn't have any

Should I keep a hotswappable keyboard if the sockets are very tight?
Those are Outemu-style sockets, very old-school and evil like something that's really evil. Not only are they literally too tight for most modern switches, I got a couple where they had obviously been sitting in an un-airconditioned warehouse somewhere for years before I got them... and the sockets

How do i use arrow keys on ducky one 3 mini without holding FN
That looks like a pretty generic 60% board, and for $99 on Amazon US rather overpriced - that's more than a Keychron Q4! I would return it and get a QMK based 60% board that supports mod-tap arrows instead. Then you can tap the keys to use them as arrows, or hold them to use them as modifiers (contr

Wireless Mechanical Keyboard under £60
The wired QMK/VIA versions of the RK61, RK R65, and RK R75 are good. I was unable to get the wireless RK R75 to connect to VIA and RK support was clearly confused so I returned it to Amazon rather than debug it further. I haven't tried the new RK R87. For the RK R61 the Redragon k717 is basically be
