Why does every keyboard I buy break after a few months? (Need serious
The obvious part is your buying cheap products....From this subreddit I've always heard RK Royal keyboards(currently on amazon right now the RK61 is $39.99) are trash. I know Redragon(Redragon Fizz K617 currently on amazon for $29.99) is trash from experience and never bought another one. Googled Zi

Has anyone seen this happen with an rk61 keyboard before?
that reboot loop usually means a short on the pcb or dead mcu. you tried the basics so it might be bricked. you could replace the controller if you're handy with soldering but rk61 pcbs are cheap anyway. honestly for the cost of fixing it you're better off grabbing rk61 replacement pcb or just a new

Need advise on keyboard choice
I forgot to mention that I was looking for 75 % (as I need arrows and F1-F12) Also rk61 is overpriced here. Available only in a few shops with a price tag of 65$ and 90$.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - December 18, 2025
not really a good idea, no. Its a lot of work for a finish that won't hold up unless you clear it multiple times. if you're really bored and want a project go for it, but arguably at the low cost of the RK boards you could source a white one for less than the time and effort you would put into paint

Which keyboard should i pick between these 2?
Not for people buying mechanical keyboards. They're "gamerbro" companies and tend to be overpriced and underfeatured. If I'm getting a 60% board I'm going to get a 60% board where I can program the modifiers in the lower left to act as arrows if I tap them and remain control or shift when I hold the

the endgame lie we all keep telling ourselves to justify buying more stuff
yeah that is exactly the hard truth i finally hit this week. the real problem is actually selling the cheap ones because nobody really wants to buy a battered RK61 on the aftermarket. i looked at the Neo and Tofu but the iQunix Magi really caught my eye recently for build. i just need to stop buying

Are there any vendors selling reliable, QMK-compliant, entry-level keyboards?
Awesome, thank you! RK seems to have a lot of naysayers, although considering how cheap the RK61 is, I guess that's not too surprising. The Glencreag and 1upKeyboards options look very promising, though.

Budget Keyboard
i had an rk61 die on me too, so i feel the hunt. for a quiet wireless board in that range, the keychron v1 max or nuphy air60 v2 are both solid. the v1 max has a 75% layout with pre-lubed switches that are pretty muted out of the box. if you stick with 60%, the air60 v2's low-profile switches feel s
