QUESTION BEFORE I BUY THE RK61 KEYBOARD!!!
I know it's not a popular board, but I personally think the latest QMK-based RK61 is quite nice... but not with the stock layout. The standard RK61 layout is terrible. Awful. It's designed by someone on acid. BUT... If this is the QMK RK61 you can program it to use the right hand modifiers as arrow

The Anne pro 2
It's a fairly old board, there's nothing particularly special about it other than the cool programming trick with the arrow keys. It's also soldered which is kind of something to avoid. It's mostly historically interesting. It was amazing when it came out but now any QMK board is almost certainly be

$100 Keyboard recommendations?
If you get the RK61, get the QMK version so you can fix the awful default layout, either using VIA (some ideas and instructions and layout.json files) or with custom firmware (link).

Any plans for a K6 QMK?
The Q4 is tray mount so won't have the loose switch issues. South facing, though. North-facing options: Skyloong GK61 QMK/VIA * ($54) Royal Kludge RK61 QMK/VIA * ($40) The GK61 is GH60-compatible (proof) and has a default layout with mod/tap arrows. The RK61 has a crappy default layout but this fixes

please help a keyboard newbie to buy correctly
Get a QMK board so you don't get "helpful" keyboard software preventing you from changing "system" keys. Particularly for a 60% board because you can use mod-tap to create a virtual arrow cluster. Any QMK board has 1k polling. Faster than that doesn't really help. For a magnetic board the best optio

Soooo how bad are royal kludge boards really?
LOL These are all Legacy boards so they use the terrible legacy Royal Kludge driver, so long as you don't care too much about key positions and the function layer and using the keyboard on anything but a Windows box, it's probably not an issue, but if you ever want to do anything interesting in the

Anyone else his keyboard won't work on ps5?
Had the same problem. With controller this game is not fun to play. Same mouse (Rog Strix carry) and keyboard (RK61) work fine with D4 and ffXIV. Definitely an Ubisoft problem.

Membrane or mechanical
I have only 2 inexpensive keebs, both came with browns. First keeb was an rk61 I bought some 10+ years ago. Its PCB failed me, then I bought a Drevo Gramr 84 with browns again, as the only other option would be blues. I started having some issue with it after a couple of years, then I hand wired bot

What's the best option? (HE or TMR for around 2k PHP budget)
I currently have an RK61. At first I found the shortcuts annoying but I got used to it. I still prefer having arrow keys and function keys to save key presses when typing (?) and using the up arrow. I also used the function keys as macros on some games back when I had a 96%. I will check the Akko Ta
