There are some "browser-based" drivers that have custom extensions but they have the same shortcomings as proprietary drivers. They're not VIAL or even VIA

Are these good keyboards ?
No, they are bottom of the line boards with proprietary firmware and no virtues whatsoever. Get this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-Mechanical-Ultra-Compact/dp/B089GN2KBT It's not a premium board, but it has QMK firmware, which also not only makes it the most adaptable board in the pr

need help buying a keyboard
Can't disagree with this. These are both decent board options. The default layout on the GK61, with the mod-tap arrows, is better, but the GK61's gasket mount is a bit more premium. I don't think the prebuilt switch options are that much of a big deal, especially on a 60% board where a 70-pack of sw

Are there any vendors selling reliable, QMK-compliant, entry-level keyboards?
The Royal Kludge RK61 is in the main QMK repo and cheap. The standard layout is kind of screwed up but since it's qmk it can be fixed, and the firmware builds reliably... if you have a look in my GitHub I've got a vial port for it. It's a 60% of course but with mod-tap arrows you shouldn't have any

Lingbao MK75 vs ROYAL KLUDGE RK R75??? Which to buy?
I don't know for sure but I have seen some claims to that effect. Aula and other cheap makers tend to sell their products for relabeling, so it's pretty common that you'll get a third party model that's exactly the same as an Aula or Ajazz or whatever. At any rate it seems to be a common proprietary

Software Engineering vs. The Dream: How do I build a permanent Gaming Room when the IT life is so "Nomadic"?
Well I'm on the lower end of the totem pole so I can't speak for those with higher paying positions, but I do have a "potential" idea for you. It's what I do. 2 setups. Home setup: Nice wide desk to handle 3 monitors. 1 ultra wide - 34 inch 2 24 inch all 3 curved 2 monitor arms 1 heavy duty holds ul

Honest thoughts on Razer in 2026
Razer quality is garbage. I made the mistake of getting two of the keyboards for $150 each and the $80 Royal Kludge keyboard I already had was much much nicer. The software for the peripherals is probably the weakest link; it's terrible. To be fair and impartial, I have owned Razer products for the
