I switched from an Ipad pro to an e-reader for note-taking and solving Physics problems because of better eye comfort and longer battery life. Is anyone else like me? technology has improved a lot recently now they have color displays, faster refresh rates, front lighting, stylus and larger screens

I’ll give you my experience using a ReMarkable: You can download it as a PDF if you want, but it’s in a proprietary form while on the tablet. You can edit PDFs on it though. No, you can just connect a USB-C cable and access the device’s IP address in a browser. You can use an app for wireless sync i

A few things I need

The reMarkable 2 is grayscale. The Paper Pro and Paper Pro Move are color e-ink displays and can show colored pen tools just fine. You cannot insert a PDF into a notebook. You can add note pages to PDFs and directly annotate on the PDF pages as well. You can export this combined PDF + notes pages as

The Ideal Remarkable Tablet

  1. Just make it a Boox tablet already. :-D Jokes aside, that's kind of what you're asking for here. While some of these things definitely would make sense for what reMarkable is and wants to be, things like Sudoku and reminder tools wouldn't be a good fit with what reMarkable tries to do and what broug

It's a little depressing that most of these kids don't even play actual video games anymore

I print out big documents at work, too, ‘cause reading 100 pages off a computer screen sucks. I can at least put things onto my reMarkable tablet and that helps a bit being e-ink instead of a traditional display.

Battery anxiety remarkable paper pro move

I think you should use some anxiety techniques to think through this. I’m going to ask you to go down a rabbit hole here, but for this to work you need to do two things for me. One, set a timer for five to ten minutes (go get one and do it, not a mental one, not a watch the clock, an actual timer th

Struggle with scaling on the Paper Pro Move

I have both the RMPP and the RMPPM. Moving between the two devices is more annoying than it should be, between the scaling and notebook page size differences. Given that the RMPPM is to some extent positioned as a companion device, and given that the reMarkable products are supposed to be about seam

Front light and accessibility

I have the reMarkable 1 that has no light, I had a SuperNote Nomad for a while, also with no light. These are devices that you’ll need a clip-on book light in dimmer environments, just like you would a paper notebook. When I got the reMarkable Paper Pro, it was such a treat to have the light built i

reMarkable 2/Paper Pro move or Supernote Nomad for math equations?

Then it depends on the few aspects rM2 is too old to suggest these days imo, and if you really need that kind of device/ecosystem, then it would be helpful to wait a bit for the supposed reMarkable Paper Pure announcement, which might be within a month or 2 As for the Pro Move, get it if colour is a

What's one piece of technology that has actually improved over the years instead of getting worse?

My wife is a therapist and uses a reMarkable tablet for taking notes. It's kind of amazing. I could see that being better than a laptop for taking notes in class. The e-ink makes it pretty easy on the eyes which I like.

Thinking about getting my first reMarkable Tablet

The Pure is better than the rM2 in every way, so I would get that if that's what you're looking at. But otherwise, I would recommend getting an Android device if you don't need color. They're so much more versatile and you'll be able to so many more apps for school. I only stuck with reMarkable beca
