Is the qidi q2 worth it?

The Qidi Q2 is a new machine, so the community cannot realistically provide you with much feedback on its service history. However, I'll try to paint some context for you: The Q2 isn't just an enclosed core xy system. It comes stock with a bi-metal hardened nozzle and a heated chamber with temperatu

Generelle Kaufempfehlung

Best Printer for beginners

That's tough on the pricing honestly. Personally, I'd go for a CoreXY printer over the bedslingers (e.g. Ender, Neptune, A1 on your list). CoreXY is a bit more complicated but in general better print quality and faster. You don't get too much into expected usage, but are you going to want or 'need'

Best choice for a 1st printer?

They both are excellent printers. I had the same goals- targeting specifically the higher end/higher temp engineering filaments and at the time the Qidi Plus 4 was the best option hands down. It has been a unbeleivably good printer to that end. It virtually eliminated the entire learning curve for h

Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro - One of the worst experiences I have had with a 3D printer

I got the N4Pro as my first printer about 18 months ago. Out of the box it printed PLA just fine, but over time the print quality declined. I had the same z-offset resetting issue you describe, and it seemed to be because my printer was also on the original firmware. I purchased mine through a resel

Bambi lab P2S combo or something else?

I started with an A1 but at the time I debated getting the P1S. I was just starting and didn't know if I'd like 3d printing. Fast forward a couple weeks ago, with the release of the P2S, I couldn't resist the QOL upgrades and what not. I bought one. (I'm in Canada). It's honestly been an awesome mac

Upgrade just for enclosure?

Most printers that include enclosures also have carbon and particulate filters, fans and temperature sensors/controls to better monitor and control the temperature, AND minimize (but not eliminate) odors from printing ASA or ABS. Most lower end models use the heat from the print bed to provide the h

Talk me out of buying a P1S with AMS Pro 2

Other than the multicolor capability, the P1S won’t add to your current capabilities really. Only you can tell how valuable the multicolor is for you. But it’s worth noting that it’s not a very capable multi-material machine, which is what I’m more interested in. If you’ve dialed in your other machi

Is this a good deal?

Listen to me. Never! NEVER buy a 3d printer with DIY upgrades if you're noob at 3d printing. Imagine you have some kind of problem and going to reddit or other place to ask for help. A stock printer is a known thing and you'll receive some handy advices by only providing your printer model and slice

Beginner 3D printing

Everyone has slightly different definitions of 'beginner,' but somewhere in the $200-$400. Something like the A1 for the low end, and the CC or similar for a bit of a step up. You can try used, but I'd avoid something like a used old Ender personally, as the newer machines have a lot more 'quality o
