Not happy with Core One quality (Mini+ Comparison)

Good morning, Certainly I bought the Prusa Core One assembled and I agree with the mediocre quality of the first benchy. Then I did it again, prioritizing quality over speed and now I have a superb impression. All my prints are successful ((except 3 which I stopped, error on my part on parameters) i

About to buy Qidi Q1 Pro, add-ons?

I'm planning on doing a full guide of all the cool things to add to your Qidi Q1 Pro that I've found over the last few months, but here's a quick list of things I've liked: The extra extruder fan (https://qidi3d.com/products/q1-pro-extruder-expansion-fan) is probably worth it. I'd recommend getting

3D Printing parts question

For "functional" parts you want an FDM (fused deposition modeling) printer. Resin prints are generally weaker and print volumes are usually much smaller. I'd suggest at least a 250x250x250mm build volume, but I suspect some parts will want something even larger. You'll need something that can handle

Advice on Filament for engineering

I haven’t tried anything myself personally aside from cc3d 72D TPU transparent, and I’d say the layer bonding isn’t quite what normal TPU can get you but it’s probably 75-80% of the way there, much better than PETG for sure. I’m actually going to be printing some random bits and bobs using nylon tri

$600 Budget. Qidi vs Bambu

I went for the qidi q1 pro. For $400 I'm very impressed. It's handled everything I've thrown at it and user error aside I've had nothing but great prints with every material I've used.

What is your favorite filament brand and type?

Personally I love Elegoo's PLA Plus. It has good prices and works very well on my Qidi Q1 Pro!

Linus Tech Tips - My New Desk is a Transformer August 28, 2025 at 11:57AM

Thanks! Don’t know why you got downvoted for that, but it wasn’t me! Yeah, I did a quick google search and quickly found the Voron 0 (and its various revisions). I’ve always been tempted to build a compact 3D printer. About 10 years ago, I did start building a Tantillus printer. But the printer I ha

Can’t figure this out

Yes, the noise complaints on the T1 are certainly valid. I've put a muffler on the CPAP fan intake - took out the high pitched whine - not much more. The biggest improvement for me was the 4 arm duct from the NeedIt/MakeIt guy who ran the contest where the Sweeper (2 arm) duct won - he did some good

Whats a good printer for functional parts?

If you want true functional prints: Heated Chamber / Enclosed Unit Heated Dryer box You’re going to want to print ABS and ASA, not just trinket PLA and PETG flexi’s Personally I use the QIDI Q1 Pro, Single Color and a Comcrow SH02 dryer and feed from the dryer to the printer with some extra tubing.
