Which bag should I get for my first time traveling with a budget airline?
I really like my Patagonia refugio 26 l. The one I have has a removable laptop sleeve, so it becomes very light without the laptop sleeve. You can squish it down using compression straps on the sides so that it will meet the requirements of the airline.

Patagonia MicroMLC 22L First Impressions
135 grams heavier than the Patagonia Refugio 26l but with less capacity and less useful features. I assume the handles and the "tech organization" pockets are the culprit for the weight discrepancy. Is there anything I missed that makes this bag stand out?

Does anyone have Samsonite 4Mation 45.5cm backpack and Patagonia Refugio 26L?
I had the Patagonia Refugio (black) but later returned it. Good bag, but not for me. Pros: Quality build as one would expect from Patagonia. Good straps. Cons: Too unstructured for me.
