Six Moon Designs ADC+ vs Mini MLC vs Black Hole 32L — Fit Differences on a Small Frame (5'3" Female)
This is my first time posting here, and I hope I’m following all the rules correctly. This post is a personal comparison of the Six Moon Designs ADC+, Patagonia Mini MLC, and Patagonia Black Hole Pack 32L for one-bag travel. I normally travel for about a month at a time and pack around 22 lb includi

Looking for a backpack for short and longer travels - narrowed down to Osprey Daylite 35L and LLBean Approach Travel Pack 39L
Not what you're asking, but I wouldn't get either of those if comfort was my priority. If you're looking for most comfortable to carry, you're going to want a backpack with a hipbelt and an internal frame*. Especially* if you're concerned about your shoulders. If you have a small enough torso, there a

Cotopaxi Alpa 28L vs Patagonia MLC 30
I’m currently on my first trip with the Patagonia MLC, and I’m really enjoying using it! I’m traveling with my two kids (9 & 7), so we aren’t one bagging it (it’s my .5 in a 1.5 system that would be carry-on only in the US, but we’re checking the rollers since we’re over the 7 kg SE Asia carry-on li

Does a tech pouch really need to be padded? What are your experiences with using a regular sling instead?
I have an Aer Go Pack 2, Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Sling 8L, and four Tomtoc T12 tech pouches that I use for both tech and non-tech items. None of those are padded. My Patagonia Mini MLC 30L has padding on the back but nowhere else. Padding is definitely not essential for me.

Osprey Daylight 26+6 vs Patagonia Micro MLC for 4 day trip
I feel like a weirdo but I no long will buy a pack that doesn't have a waist strap. It makes all the difference to me in terms of comfort. My last straw was trying out the Osprey Daylight 26+6 and even though I saw why people loved it, I just could not without the strap. I ended up with the Patagoni

Cotopaxi Alpa 28L vs Patagonia MLC 30
I recently purchased both through REI (because of their return policies) and the Patagonia MLC was my winner. Test packed both and wore them around the house for an afternoon before making my decision. I’m 5’5” for reference. Two key differences for me: The Allpa lacked flexibility in packing. Usual

Packing for Thailand trip
I brought the Osprey Daylite expandable 26+6 and used packing cubes. It functioned more as a 2nd suitcase and I kept all my makeup/necessities/changes of clothes/shoes in there in case my checked bag got lost. It was great because I could expand it later if I bought clothes/souvenirs. My medium Bagg

Bag Finder Megathread - 17 November 2025
Hello, I'll be going on a ~30 days trip to Japan the end of March of next year. It'll be my first time traveling for this long and onebagging aswell so I'm trying to find a backpack for it. There are so many options and a price ranges that I'm getting a bit overwhelmed. What I (think) want my backpa

Thoughts on this? Has anyone tried them?
I am tossing up between this and a few other bags (namely, the Patagonia MLC) at the moment. The Discovery looks like a good bag, decent organisation and the harness looks comfortable enough. However I do love the organisation of the MLC more, but I think the harness looks/fits rubbish. I would love
