Good 25–30L hiking daypack for rocky, uneven trails?

Osprey is hard to beat for comfort. Some bags have a frame, mesh back panel and plenty of other features to keep you comfortable. I’ve also heard good things about Gregory. But I own a a Stratos 24L and 36L bag and they are super comfortable and durable. I hike with them in Class II and Class III te

I’m looking for a new daypack

I love my Osprey Stratos 24, it’s fully framed and has a mesh that helps to ventilate air through your back.

Best Backpack Size & Model for 5–20 Mile Day Hikes in the Rockies (Summer Use)?

Those are solid packs from good brands. You are on the right track. Yes, I think 22 liters is on the small size for technical day hikes and chalet overnights. 30 liters is okay. 40 liters is where I'd say it's too big. I prefer the trampoline style back whenever possible. It grabs onto my back well

Daypack recommendations?

I got an Osprey Stratos 24L for Christmas. I've only done 15 miles or so with it so far with winter hikes, but I'm loving it. Super comfy, no back pain or pressure points with 20 lbs loaded. And I'm excited for the ventilation come summer. I can't speak to the ones you mentioned unfortunately, but m

Waterproof camelback?

A waterproof pack is only going to make you sweat more.Look for a pack with a ‘trampoline’ back panel. Like this: https://www.osprey.com/stratos-24-stratos24s22-373

Which daypack to choose…

Haven’t used Gregory Miko. But I have the Talon Pro 20 and i swear by it. Talon series is a best seller. Ive used mine for 300km and can’t complain. The only Osprey bag a bit better imo is Stratos 24 because of their breathable mesh back.

Backpack for tourist travel?

osprey stratos 24 if you want something that breathes properly. the airspeed mesh back panel actually works, not just marketing. sweating less on a warm italian day is worth it alone. fits two laptops easily, looks clean enough for a city, not too outdoorsy. been using mine for two years across a bu

Are Osprey backpack rlly that good?

People like Osprey packs because they are comfortable for many people, are well built, and have a great warranty. They don't do ultralight well, but that's not what they're shooting for. If possible, you really should try them on first, people tend to love them or hate them. I've been looking at bot

Are Osprey backpack rlly that good?

I just bought the Stratos 24, got it on sale @ Osprey for $108. I wanted this for long single-day hikes or for ultralight overnight hikes. I just used it on a fairly challenging hike on snow trails around Bear Mountain NY, and it was really comfortable. Weight aside, I often forgot I was even wearin

How big of a pack is good for day hiking?

I love my Osprey Hikelite 26. I tried on several in our local outdoor store and the staff there provided a ton of advice. Ultimately it came down to three packs, and this one had a very good sale price. I carry a 2.5L water bladder and the side stretch pockets are large enough to add additional wate
