Should I get a 24L or a 34L backpack?
I have the manta 34L and love it for day hikes. It is a maximalist, durable and feature rich pack and a bit on the heavy side. I love how the zero gravity mesh back panel distributes the weight, and the hydration balder engineering is among the best in class. I would opt for the 34L with Whitney on

Looking for a good do-it-all bag
I got the Osprey Manta 34L and it’s a great bag. It doesn’t fit some of the things you listed (no bag will) but it’s a great bag and I think it’s about as large as you can get and still fit in an overhead bin.
