Does anyone use the Foldsack No. 1 for hiking?
Same, bro. I’m sorry if my reply came off harsh towards you. I was honestly just frustrated by the responses in general, not really at yours. We probably have more in common than most people in this sub. I use an Osprey Kestrel 58 for backpacking, but I like FR stuff for lighter duty. I have a Raven

I like this bag for the top-load or side-load choice, the molle webbing, and $80 USD price tag. But I realize Amazon items are usually not well built. Are there any recommendations for a bag like this from a good manufacturer?
I like my Osprey packs, I just did a check and these might meet your criteria https://www.osprey.com/rook-50l?size=O%2FS&color=Dark+Charcoal%2FSilver+Lining https://www.osprey.com/soelden-45l-ski-snowboard-backpack?size=O%2FS&color=Cascade+Blue-Raven+Black https://www.osprey.com/kestrel-58-kestrel58

Will I regret buying a backpack with more volume than I need?
My first advise would be: borrow a backpack from the store, the 85L and 100L - pack them with the stuff you would take with you and see how it fits and how you feel carrying it around. I would ALSO borrow a smaller size, say 60-70L and try those out. Then you will have a better feel of what suits YO

Rucksack recommendations
I had an Osprey Kestrel 58L I think when I hiked WHW this year in May. The size was perfect and the comfort that backpack has is on another level. When I got my straps put correctly, I never had any discomfortnin my shoulders or anything and my backpack weight was 15-20kg maybe?

Bag Finder Megathread - 02 March 2026
I'll start with my hobbies and use cases first as that'll probably give a better idea of what I'm after. I'm an adventure travel & airbnb photographer in the UK. I carry the usual clothes, couple pairs of shoes, essential outdoor kit and my camera gear; body, 2-3 lenses and sometimes laptop. My trav

Thoughts on the Yukon 60+10?
I was between this and the osprey kestrel 58 and ended up with the osprey. Was much cheaper that way, but the main reason was the fit on my back. You gotta try it on

Recomandare ghiozdan Osprey
Osprey Kestrel 58 aici.
