Is 40L with the intention to buy quite a bit of souvenirs enough for 3 months in Europe?

Surely you will be taking buses and trains in Europe ? Carrying 55l ( 40 + 15 ) up and down stairs and around city centres isn’t easy, you’d be wise to cut down. It’s not all about flights. As you plan to buy clothes as you go, you could easily take half that amount of clothing. If you plan to wash

Please suggest Orthotic Sandals that fold flat & feel like a cloud to walk on

It sounds like you live these sandals. If space is too tight, maybe there are other things you could downsize instead? For me, I found keeping my bag's weight down to be more challenging than squeezing everything in. That being said, I'm more of a 1.5 bagger. (I have the Osprey Fairview 55, so 40 +

Need bag suggestions please!

The Osprey Fairview is 40 L and weighs 3.5, but with the hip belt, frame, and load lifters feels lighter than my Patagonia 30 MLC when fully packed. It's my go to if I'm going anywhere longer than a week, and I've even done Korea in January with it--keep in mind the bulk of winter wear!

How do I go ultra light on a 6 month trip

if you’re planning on flying between countries and not wanting to check a bag-be wary that most airlines have a 7kg weight limit for carry on items. if you’re not worried about checking a bag, ignore this. i (26f) currently have the osprey fairview 55 (it’s a 40L bag with a 15L daypack attached) tha

Question about getting around with luggage in Italy

Just wrapping up our Italy trip here and me and my husband took the train to go between cities. We definitely noticed on the trains that people with luggage that’s checked-bag size struggled. Luggage storage for these trains are typically in overhead compartments, so don’t bring anything you can’t e

Are there one baggers who use a carry on suitcase as their one bag? Why or why not?

Have recently made the switch due to a shoulder issue (albeit possibly temporary) from the fairview 40 to a natgeo carryon suitcase. On a world tour rn and not regretting the switch. Somehow i feel it’s liberating to not “carry the baggage” and quite quickly got used to walking alongside it. Maybe b

Underseat personal item only international travel: lighten my overstuffed 28L backpack

If money isn't a concern, why not upgrade to a larger bag? I use the Osprey Fairview 40L and because of the hip belt and chest straps it's pretty comfy even when loaded up. I've also used it for a hiking trip once and once I worked out how to have the straps, the weight was negligible. I've been abl

Realistic for Japan winter travel with 25+7L bag(s)?

25 liters would be a bit small for me. Possible, but it will be tight. The REI Trail 25 or Patagonia Black Hole 25 come to mind. would wear my midlayer on the plane to save space. Seeing that you will have a personal item, your other bag is going in the overhead regardless. I would use a Black Hole

7kg carry-on limit

Don't have a proper packing list yet since I posted this after looking at the ticket price, baggage allowance and then roughly weighing my things. I was about to go with vietjet but a redditor told me that it's one of the worst and to check on other airlines. And found a scott that gives 10kg of all

Do you always wish you went with a smaller backpack? 40L seems too big and cumbersome

Just gotten home fra 3 weeks in desert (hot) and mountains (snow) as a plus-size with Osprey 26+6, which was chosen due to the minimum requirement of 3 Airlines. I normally travel with a Fairview 40. I managed to buy 2 kg of souvenirs, and still only use it as 26 L, but I was pressed. But I love the
