what is a great keyboard to upgrade to after 7yrs+

Hall Effect and TMR are the newest tech. Hall Effect is mostly meant for competitive FPS and TMR can do the same but with better battery life and being able to put magnetic and mechanical switches. But it is still early so I wouldn't say they are future proof in terms of reliability. For 200 USD, I

Which keyboard should I put these on?

I think it would look good on a pink Chilkey ND104 or Ticktype DP104!

Chilkey ND104, Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro, and ASUS ROG Strix Scope II are all good options. Check out r/MechanicalKeyboards too.

LF 100% full-size, low profile, mech that feels like the Lofree Flow.

Ah, missed that. Chilkey ND104 then. A superb board and with some low profile keycaps (PBS) would probably fulfil your needs better. Entirely hot-swappable, so you can swap switches out to your preference if you need to. 👍

To Keychron or not Keychron?

I have a few Keychrons, including (wired only) Q3, two Q6s (tried with default steel, replacement PC and brass plates), and V6 Max. Of all these, the V6 Max sounds the nicest (deep smooth thocky sound). The Q6s are much more rigid and harsh. I don't think the more advanced Q6 Max / Ultra makes signi

looking for a keyboard with a display screen compatible with mac

The only board with screen I ever tried is the Chilkey ND104 and it has a web based config (nd104.chilkey.com), not OS dependent (needs Chromium based browser). Not that it's useful, to be honest. I removed it and added more keys instead.

Keyboard recommendations

The lowest cost aluminum mechanical keyboard with a numpad is the Galaxy100/Galaxy100 Lite, which is around $100 on Amazon. The 'best' are double or more: the Chilkey ND104 or Ticktype DP104 or QwertyKeys QK101/QK100/Neo98. If you want rapid trigger, etc. for gaming, it's actually cheaper to get a s

is the "thock" trend finally dying in 2026? are we back to "clack"?

Kailh Box Jades / Box Navys on a Chilkey ND104. I never left the clack behind. It’s what a keyboard has always sounded like to me, and always will be.
