Switch Pro Controller

A while back I wanted to get into emulating to play retro games on my CRT television. People really pushed me to go for the Wii (instead of the PS2) because Wii is just better at emulating retro games. Little did I know it would be such a hassle hooking up my favorite controller: my Nintendo Switch

Today I received my Analogue 3D (in White, to California) and I was excited to try out the 8BitDo controller with it. The main thing I always check on a new controller is latency and connection; With that being said, this controller immediately showed major flaws in these 2 areas.

It's just inputting random inputs a breakneck speed making the game unusable. It happened with Tekken but turning off steam input fixed it. But for this game even with steam off it's doing it. I'm very confused
