Simple Router Upgrade?
If you’re happy with Netgear overall, I’d take a look at the RS200 or RS300. If you’re open to other brands, TP-Link and ASUS also have some really solid options under $200. For a 1-bedroom apartment, you definitely don’t need anything too crazy, and pretty much any modern Wi-Fi 6/6E router will be

Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?
Just did this - 7 people, 3 floors. Went through a few mesh systems (tplink be4800, be5000, XE75). Hated the way mesh worked, walked to another room device would hang on the further node and online games were choppier (higher ping and latency) than a single nighthawk (even had wired backhaul from ma

netgear nighthawk dual-band wifi 7 router (rs200) or (rs300)
The RS300 is no longer supported with updates from Netgear per an email I received a few weeks ago. If you plan on using this, don't have it as the gateway to the internet, as the next flaw in Netgear will get all of these owned instantly. Mine is for AP only now, a better router is the internet gat

I need help
Did you connect your pc to the router with an Ethernet cable? Also, I'm pretty sure your pc can't be used as a modem . . . Also pretty sure the RS700S is overkill and you could have gotten away with using the one I bought. I just hooked up my new Netgear Nighthawk RS300 a week ago.

Wireless to Wired
I would pay a bit more for a WRT-capable router, as the other commenter recommended. Netgear, ASUS, and Eero are the best brands I've used in residential deployments. Check out Netgear's Nighthawk RAX50 (WiFi 6 capable, and costs ~$150-200). If you want WiFi 7 capability, look at the Nighthawk RS300

Best home wifi router?
Whatever you do, avoid the Netgear Nighthawk RS300 Wi-Fi 7 - unless you enjoy daily (throughout the entire day) intermittent internet disconnects, Wi-Fi lag, etc. Purchased in March, worked without issues for about a month - just a few days past the 30-day free tech support window After that, discon

Advice for anyone with crappy HomePods
I’ve had so many issues with getting my Netgear RS300 to play nice with my HomePods - they are snappy as hell but often I get the “thinking about that “ comment and Siri just dies - until I reboot - also they just won’t play non lossless songs when automix crossfade is on unless I have my ancient ai

AT&T Fiber 1000 Download Speed Help.
Get a netgear wifi 7 router like the rs300 it works great I have one. Put your fiber gateway in pass through to the router and the netgear would handle everything and you would hit better speed.
