Yes, but it will be shit just like how it comes out of a Nespresso machine. Yes I’ve done it; I was and still am trying to get through a bunch of Vertuo decaf pods. If you’re out for three days, just pre-grind, shove it in a tiny ziplock bag like it’s cocaine and be on your way. It will taste better

The smaller ones are effectively open source now. The patent expired and Nespresso failed to patent the shape when it was expiring, which was their backup plan to continue the monopoly. I purchased the Nespresso Vertuo machine in the UK. I bought it to India and I'm currently using it with an adapter. Unfortunately, the pods are not available on the Nespresso website in India and you have to order it on Amazon. They are quite expensive in India though.

Agree, try two capsules and see what happens. (Are you refilling full-size capsules or the espresso or double espresso capsules?) Something to remember, though, is that the Vertuo machines don't make true espresso. They don't brew under pressure. So it's never going to taste quite like the espresso

It depends on the machine, I got a manual espresso machine and there’s no way I’d use it like I do my Nespresso. I have an essenza mini, they’re great. The original pods are far superior to the vertuo pods. The vertuo machines are unreliable. I like my espresso with .4~1 teasoon of sugar, and loads
