What’s your new ‘nice to have’ piece of deer hunting gear?

Could be considered bougee, but I’m a buy once cry once type person, some of my favorite pieces of gear are… -A good backpack, I use a Mystery Ranch Blitz 30…if I lived up north I’d probably get the 35liter version to accommodate shedding layers. The 30 carries all my stuff perfectly (head lamp, lar

Blitz 30

Absolutely love my Blitz 30. Traded my 5.11 RUSH 24 for a 2DAP, then a RAID 32, and settled on the Blitz. Best for organisation in my opinion. If you use the hip belt, upgrade it to the 5.11 RUSH hip belt which you can buy separately. Actually comes with padding and fits the Blitz buckles. When I ge

Help me decide

Absolutely!!!! My other EDC bag is a Mystery Ranch Blitz 30 or a Mystery Ranch UA21, and I would say comfort wise it holds its own against the Blitz, and is a lot more comfortable than the UA21. NSG has stated that here in a few weeks they are going to be taking preorders for an upgraded OD Green ve

Backpack recommendations

I am retired and now teach in the Business school at a top 5 public university. Here are my recommendations The Everki Atlas 17 which is a great Business bag (I have had my Everki Atlas ($170) for over 15 years and its been on over 200 flights in ten cities and still perfect) or the Mystery Ranch 2-

Anyone familiar with Grayls? Look nice - but not much talk about them

If you like this style I can highly recommend the Blitz 30 from Mystery Ranch. Not too versed with their bags but the Grayl water filters are awesome, they just work when you need them to! I’ll never use a pump system again

What backpacks/Assault packs/rucks do you guys run?

Mystery ranch Blitz 30 is a great pack, the 2 day as well. Most of their non Barry compliant packs were made in Vietnam even before the buyout and they’re still fantastic quality. The gunfighter series are really cool but they’re big $$. Big fan of all the eberlestock stuff tho it seems like good qu

Blitz 30

I have both blitz 30 and 2dap, they share the same platform, have the same futura carrying system, the same laptop pocket, the same side laptop zipper and the similar capacity. I prefer blitz for the following reasons: Blitz 30 has a smaller appearance but 2dap looks huge. Blitz 30 has 3 outer pocke

Blitz 30

I recently picked up the B.30 and am liking it. I had the Urban Assualt 24, and mystery ranch mission duffel. I loved the UA24 but did not fit well, the 2DAP solution to that. But I went to GoRuck packs. Came back to get the Blitz after Yeti started killing MR product line to replace with the Yeti m

Which would you choose?

Now is the time to pull the trigger on Mystery Ranch. 2025 is the last MR consumer production year, likely because orders were already placed before the acquisition. I've been looking at getting a Blitz 30 before the product line is absorbed by Yeti. Who knows what quality will be like under the com

Any alternatives to the Helikon Tex Bail Out Bag?

GoRuck opens all the way but in a more traditional clamshell design. The Mystery Ranch Blitz 30 or 35 would be up your alley too. As someone else mentioned, the Arxteryx Khard/Assault is worth it if you can get your hands on one. I have a 45 and it’s been on tons of trips with me, and the 30 is grea
