Oakley Kitchen Sink is huge!

I really don't. If you look at most college/work/commute backpacks, they're right around 30 L. Yeah, the ubiquitous TNF Borealis and my beloved Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack are on the under side, but still. My college backpack was like 35 L and my favorite hiking pack is right at 34. Lots of ent

Looking for a "buy once, cry once" backpack (around 30L) for work + occasional travel

Love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. Carries well and the laptop sleeve (as opposed to a separate compartment) and weird zipper let me use every last liter.

Is “The North Face Women's Borealis Luxe Backpack” worth it for college students?

How to answer that... I had a Surge for a little while and returned it. The Women's Borealis holds 27 L according to the website. In real terms, that's a laptop, a couple notebooks, and then when you try to add something bulky or odd-shaped you're screwed even if by volume it should fit. I really di

What’s the best travel backpack that’s actually comfortable? any suggestion pls?

Where on the plane are you anticipating putting it? What will you do with it at your destination? I feel like there are a few conflicting wants with travel bags and it's really helpful to clarify. Also, why you want it to be a backpack and not a roller. Sometimes I take a backpack as a suitcase repl

Everyday backpack recommendations?

You know you usually get a few years of closeout and eBay availability after something like that is discontinued... And on that note, I love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It might be more "work" than "everyday" but honestly I don't even know what people mean with "everyday," though I like it

Looking for ideal all in one gym backpack

How big is that in liters? Anyway, I have two candidates for you. The Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack - it doesn't meet a lot of your bullet points but I have one, I love it, and I think that in terms of actual function it would be great. And the Osprey Metron 34, which is a lot closer to your bull

Looking for a good backpack for uni/edc for a person who packs a lot of stuff.

Love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It's great for commuting and has just the right amount of organization for me. It's just ok for travel but it really depends on your attitude about what a personal item should be. I've put it under the seat in front of me and no one has stopped me but I find

what north face backpack should i get for college?

I had a Surge for a little while. I returned it. All the packs you picked have separate laptop compartments. For me that really hurt the usable volume and versatility of the pack. I'd say it could be a coin toss between the Recon, Surge and Router. Or maybe take a closer look at the pocketing and ch

2-3days travel pack recommendations!

I know what forum I'm on but Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It's a great travel pack when you only need a bit under 30 L. And for me, traveling for a few days like that means pyjamas, toiletries, a charger, and some socks, underwear and shirts. So nothing too bulky. If you want it to be Osprey pe

Work+lunch+gym = possible?

You don't really get it both ways: if you insist on carrying lots of extra bulky stuff, your backpack will be big. That said, some are better than others. I love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack for letting me use every liter. Yeah, it's kinda bulky when full but it compresses well, and doesn't h
