Surface Pro 12-inch hands-on impressions: Microsoft and Qualcomm may have a home run
I'm not terribly impressed with the new devices, mostly because they don't fit my particular needs. However, the notion that has been previously expressed that Microsoft isn't serious about Arm is further dispelled by these new devices - and the fact that the business versions will also be Arm based

My Surface Pro 9 is falling apart. Will the Surface Pro 11 be my next laptop?
Yeah, I’ve been keeping an eye on the whole RAM shortage mess and the recent price hikes—it’s honestly highway robbery at this point. Because of that, I’m actually looking at the 'unopened/brand-new-in-box' market instead of buying retail. In my country, I can snag a Surface Pro 11 bundle (Snapdrago

Installing MTK VCOM Drivers on Surface Laptop 7 (Snapdragon X Elite / ARM64 Windows 11)
Just be aware there's a Snapdragon Business SL7 too (and Pro 11) so "Business versions of the SL7 or the Surface Pro 11" might still be something that doesn't work !!! Funny my comment suggesting precisely the same thing (and even in the more precise and useful fashion to get the Intel one) got remo

In the market for a new Surface pro..
Microsoft stupidly started using the size of the screen in the naming. Surface Pro 12 is really Surface Pro 12" and Surface Pro 13 is really Surface Pro 11 which has a 13" screen. They're the same generation. However, the Surface Pro 11 aka Surface Pro 13" comes with 2 different processors, both hig

Windows on Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme is finally what Arm laptops should have been
But my bare minimum expectation is to not find my laptop dead in my backpack after putting it in sleep. This is a problem born of how Microsoft has implemented modern standby, not a hardware issue. I briefly tried a Lunar Lake powered Dell XPS 13 and compared the app launch times and excel performan

Do you find it difficult to use a normal laptop with single 14" screen after using the dual-screen Yoga Book / Asus Zenbook Duo?
For me, it was hard to move from HP Spectre Fold to Microsoft Surface Pro 11. Yes, Qualcomm is superb but form factor of the foldable is unique. Yes, it's not the same dual-screen device like Yoga, but I feel the pain of those who moved from it...

Gaming on the Zenbook A16, crosspost from r/windowscentral
Can say from experience with Surface Pro 11 on X Plus (!) that it highly depends on the game and the Adreno GPU drivers. Valheim — DX11 not so good, Vulkan runs much better but gets weird glitches after some time, DX12 plays well but Vsync makes the framerate very unstable. Ended up playing it with

Surface Pro alternatives today?
I had this question for myself as well... I have the pro X, my display has a crack and the pen doenst cover the whole display any more. But I use it mostly with the keyboard. For painting I also have a separate digitzer board. Surface Pro 11 ... totally overpowered with 10 or 12 cores and it has a f

Brand New surface random pixels on screen
that sounds like a hardware defect, not something you can fix with drivers. with a brand new surface pro 11, i'd just return it or exchange it where you bought it. don't waste time troubleshooting - those random green and red pixels are usually a bad display panel or loose ribbon cable. microsoft's

What is the NPU?
I hate adobes business model A LOT, but this is more so on Microsoft pushing their ARM chips as being “more powerful than intels”. Honestly the marketing is so deceptive, and when I bought my Sp11 over a year ago, Microsoft was saying that they were working on compatibility, yet 1 1/2 yrs later, I s
