Best Choice for a Student
As with all things "It depends" is the answer. That said, I'm an older physics student (this is my second degree) taking advanced classes and the Surface Pro 11 has really been fantastic. The Surface Pro feels made for STEM. For all practical purposes, it's basically as good for note-taking as the i

iPad Pro vs Surface Pro
I’m on my phone, so a short answer. I use an iPad Pro M4 with 1 TB and a surface pro 11th edition with the X Elite with 16 GB RAM. Short answer: if you do not need any specific apps, then the Surface is almost a no-brainer. But only almost. Windows 11 is a full desktop operating system. Microsoft’s

Really want a surface pro 11
I just got a SP11 a couple weeks ago. Prior to that, I’ve never used or owned Microsoft first-party hardware. For context, I primarily use Apple products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro) and use this primarily for work (emails, using browser-based applications, reading some PDFs). I bought the keyboard a

Computer died. Anyone running Ableton on a Windows tablet?
Ive been running Ableton live on a Microsoft Surface pro 7+ for almost 5 years now. Is a 11th gen i7 with 16GB ram. I use it for recording my own songs and arranging keys and synth parts for my band. I'm typically using up to 30 tracks, maybe 10 or so virtual synths and pianos, most quite demanding

Should I get rid of my iPad and Mac book for a surface pro?
I swapped out my 12.9 M2 iPad Pro for the Surface Pro 11 on ARM. I liked it so much that I sold my 14" MacBook Pro too. I am able to do everything that I could on those two machines on the SP11. It has great battery life and stays cool. Using OneNote w/a matte glass screen protector and a metal tip

Surface Pro 11 vs iPad Pro M4, From an Apple Guy Trying Hard to Switch
Its unclear to me if you are after a multimedia and browser consumption-oriented device, or a productivity all in one. I think there is no question that an iPad pro running or being able to dual boot into macos would be the perfect device. Apple simply has a better control over hardware and software

Handwriting app for Windows with keyboard text and PDF support
Tested on Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X Elite, win11 ARM64). Great potential!!:) Pros: Modern UI, extensive customization, multi-instance support (huge game changer!), clear file management, mobile-like features . Required fixes: High latency (1s -> at least on my device), pixelated handwriting, and

Native Windows on ARM Support 🥹❤️
I have a Surface Pro 11 Oled, using ARM and I downloaded the Windows Portable version which works perfectly in the device. I had assumed it was native a ARM version because I thought a lot of the handheld devices were ARM, I guess that was not the case? Anyway, in case you're unaware, this is a solu

Nano-texture display is a non negotiable.
I have a Surface Pro 11 and I like it but the glossy screen is a killer, I even had to angle it awkwardly on a recent train journey just to be able to see what I was watching because of sun coming through the windows. Unfortunately I don't like screen protectors on touch screens, so I live with it.
