As a fellow audio phile (Meze 99 Classics currently) I completely understand, even on the floor full cranked so that it's peaking like crazy it's way better than anything else you got, really shows why they are so expensive LOL

Meze 99 Walnut are high-res headphones and the parts are replaceable. The ear cups say vegan leather so that could also be pleather. Brainwavz Audio makes mass supply of replacement pads and they are just for generic fit. They don't care about tuning one bit. If you want the Meze 99 to sound the way they do, stick to stock or get the Dekoni Elite pads. I think stock pads are around $30 or so from Meze.
