First Maxwell 2 Reviews are coming out
Sound. Nova Elite represents one of the worst values in the gaming headset market at the moment. Outside of I/O, 90% of the value the Elite's bring to the table could be had by going with the cheaper Nova Pro Wireless. Everything else is just tuning, and can be achieved via PEQ. Weighing the Maxwell

Maxwell 2?
Steelseries Nova Elite Most of the value of the Nova Elite can be had with the Nova Pro Wireless. It does not compete with the Maxwell for sound quality; I would argue it doesn't even compete with the much older and even cheaper (at this point) Master & Dynamic MG20. And, frankly, I do not think the

Maxwell 2 (Xbox) vs Arctis Nova Pro Wireless vs Nova Elite – which do you prefer for warm, bassy immersive gaming?
Nova Elite strikes the best balance Quite the opposite; it's the worst value of the sets you've listed. If you need multi-source mixing (it sounds like you don't), there's some argument for that use case, but 90% of the value in the Elites is available in the Nova Pro wireless. If sound quality is y

Arctis Nova Elite VS Maxwell VS Astro 50x -> Conclusion and questions
90% of the value of the Nova Elite can be found in the Nova Pro Wireless, unfortunately. Besides the adjustment to frequency response, and an improved driver that you'll never really get to push to see the benefits of, at least in a gaming context, an improved mic and better I/O aren't enough to jus

Mic-less High Quality Planar Headsets?
A headset is a headset due to the presence of a mic. If you want the best sound quality, get a Maxwell and remove the mic -- which is subpar anyway. If you're looking for a headphone, the only wireless planar headphones (like the Stax Spirit lineup) are in the consumer headphone segment of the marke

What headset/earphones do you use?
I use Master & Dynamic MG20. Great headset for gaming or general use that doesn’t feel or look like a headset. One of the best quality and sounding headsets I ever had, Always use them on the plane since I travel a lot for work aswell. I also got a pair of KZ ZS12 Pro X IEM’s when I don’t feel like

LCD-GX worth it?
Nothing wrong with old threads; they need love too. Most of the above still stands, with a few caveats. I would not consider the GX. What I said above still applies, it sounds great, but it's not worth the asking price. If you can find one used, that can be a better option; but at MSRP there have be

Advice needed on lcd-gx
Compared to the Nova Pro, the Maxwell 2 is a fairly substantial upgrade in sound quality; it's also much more passively isolating than the Novas. Where the Maxwell's fall behind is mic and sidetone performance. If those aren't as critical to you, the Maxwell is the better buy, over the GX. As for th

Where should i go after Maxwells? i cant handle these things anymore
Bizarre problem, but I concur with the other comment about contacting Amazon. My Maxwells get used multiple times daily, and I have no regrets over their purchase. What not to buy: Master & Dynamic MG20. Great sound but terrible build quality/design and nonexistent customer service.

Thinking about getting Audrze Maxwells
Mine are two years old and have never missed a beat (pun intended). I replaced the overly fragile Master & Dynamic MG20 with the Maxwells, and I'm so glad I did. Although the desktop AP is a bit dated, it still does the job. Best of all, the planar magnetic drivers produce cleaner, more articulate s
