Hi, I think pairing it with the Marshall Stanmore is an excellent choice. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise—many active stereo speakers can’t keep up with it. I’m a big Marshall fan too and love the sound of my Emberton III, Middleton II, and Major V headphones. You can certainly keep both devices

I bought the Marshall Middleton about 6 months ago and it's killer. Good deals on it right now too, because they just released the Middleton II, which I haven't demoed yet.
