Column speaker for house parties?
Thump Go is a decent speaker for what it is, but it's an 8" battery-powered speaker. All battery-powered speakers on the market don't perform as well as comparible plug-in PA speakers. If you're on a budget, you'll get a lot more for your money with a pair of 12" PA tops vs cheaper column speakers.

Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist
My first suggestion is to look at a 12" column like EV Evolve 50M. Adding another EON can help with coverage, but won't add a lot of overall volume...you're not going to be able to get to the back of a larger crowd with two EON's vs one EON. Best portable PA setup for a DJ playing 30–50 person indoor/outdoor events? Budget around $1,500–$2,000
Although a little out of your price range for a pair. I just put together what I think is a pretty decent Bluetooth battery powered rig.I run this rig for remote gigs that have no power. So far a 6 hour gig is no problem and batteries are only 1 bar down when I am finished.. They make spare batterie

What is your go to speaker setup for house parties (10-50 people)?
Get a small column PA. ES602, Maui 5, TS112C, etc. Some are lighter than many tops, covers lows nicely because it has a sub, quick setup, wide sound pattern (spreads more in a short room), easier to manage indoors. I own a larger PA like yours (12" top, 18" sub, 132dB 4000w), but this is a lot more

Home theatre karaoke?
Rockville Audio makes a speaker that would work. It's just a little more than $200 but is versitile because it is battery powered and has echo processing on channels 1 and 2. For music you can run either by Bluetooth or 1/8th cable so that you don't have to be running two different sets of speakers.
