KRK Rokit 7 or 8” or Mackie Thump Go?
The quality and fullness of the bass of monitor speakers only applies when they are mounted at an exact height in regards to the listeners head as well as the room being (somewhat) acoustically treated. While the mackie thump go is significantly larger than the KRKs, it will behave more like an actu

Best portable speaker setup for outdoor parties with the FLX4
There are many options at the moment. Alto TX412B, Mackie Thump Go, LD Systems ANNY, EV Everse, MiniRig, Soundboks, etc. Availability and prices depend on where you live, which one is better might also depend on your goals. Both the Partybox and Soundboks are mostly "party speakers" and their prices

Is anyone using a small backpackable monitor for small events?
I've bought the Mackie Thump Go for this purpose plus house/street parties with friends. I was more inclined for the Bose but didn't find the sound amazing for club style music, I feel it's better suited for vocals/live music. So my options changed to Mackie vs Everse 8. And then yeah, for this purp

Help a Coach with a mobile PA system
Get a battery powered pro speaker or pair. QSC CB10, Electrovoice Everse, JBL Eon, or Mackie Thump Go. (In order of quality.) Buy once cry once. You can power via cord or use the battery which will be extremely handy and expand the usability greatly. Most of these have built in mic pre, Bluetooth, e

Column speaker for house parties?
I have the Mackie Thump Go. Not as my primary, but for a pop-up quick party, no need for external power, with a Numark Mixstream Pro Go, I think they are great. Two of the Thump Go are great for their size. Will they rock a fest? Of course not. Mackie also has a SubThump Go. That bug hasn't bitten m

Battery-powered amp for outdoor practice?
My husband uses a Mackie Thump Go. We can plug his guitar/mic/pedalboard/looping station, and my bass into it and play together and sound pretty good. We play small venues with just that, and I have mic'ed it before for a larger venue with a full band. It's great, and the battery lasts a really long

I want to give my friend a chance to get some DJ experience in. Looking to buy a speaker that is reasonable on latency and volume for 30 people.
No "bluetooth speaker" but there are proper PA speakers that include bluetooth too. Those are fine if you use the wired connection. I've got the Mackie Thump Go, obviously not the most amazing sound you'll hear, but works great on battery power

Which speakers to get?
I'd skip the JBL entirely. They sound nice, but you can't build a decent DJ system on that. Delay due to DSP, no pro connections, no mixer, etc. They are really meant for domestic/end-user only. I've got two Mackie Thump Go (bought 2y apart, so I'm clearly happy) and they are decent, have embedded 2

Speaker recommendation for bedroom and mini house party
Didn't read in detail, but this has an easy answer. House party: JBL Partybox, as much as your budget allows or a pair to spread the sound. Or hi-fi/desk 2.1 systems. Monitors are for monitoring. Mostly flat, boring, directional, close range, etc. An 8" monitor is not an 8" speaker. Small PA is over
