Are there any solid modular mice recommendations? My favorite mouse is the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED for the extra buttons and use of a AA battery. But they were discontinued and now sell for almost $400 if I ever need a replacement. Bonus points if I can remap it with Linux (SteamOS)

Additional equipment for Lightroom Classic Editing?

I love using my Logitech G604 mouse with 6 buttons by the thumb. I've added macros for LR and PS to it. Speeds up most processes quite a bit. Too bad the G604 is now EOL and no replacement is been launched (yet).

Good wireless CAD mouse without software?

I use the Logitech G604. Same situation, I installed the customization software on my home computer and the onboard memory saves the settings. It has 8 customizable buttons and I've been using it for so long I couldn't imagine running any CAD software without it now.

Keyboard vs controller

I spent a ton of hours in the practice range going back and forth between the two inputs. Controller is waaaaay easier to just pickup and play, but once you figure out the awkwardness of mnk it is clearly superior, in my opinion. Keyboard or solidworks and autoCAD

I love the initiative of trying to get a keyboard with extra buttons, but I have tried A LOT of different solutions for this and by far the best thing to do is just re-map all of your most-used hotkeys to single-button shortcuts on your left hand, no fancy keyboard needed. That way your right hand n

Mouse bullshit

Get a mouse with variable speed switch. I've got a Logitech G604. Perfect for MWO - easy to change DPI & 6 thumb switches for different weapon groups. Sadly EoL.

I analyzed 1 year of gaming mouse recommendations on Reddit (Nov 2024–2025). These are the top 20 ones on r/wow

I've got a G604, absolutely love it. Too bad they discontinued it and now they're like 300$. Now Logitech doesn't make a mouse with 6 side buttons, and the G502 is a sorry replacement :(

Middle mouse buttons are a pain

I use the logitech g602 and g604 they have 6 programmable buttons on the side. The mouse has been discontinued but still can be found online. I haven't seen a great replacement for this model yet that fits my needs CAD and games, so I keep fixing them. Good luck.

Time for a G604 (and G600) mourning post

the aerox 9 seems to be pretty good in my experience. Layer shifts with the g502 are close as well but not the same. Please logitech, bring back the g604

I got a G502X during Black Friday to replace my G604. It’s the same size and ergonomics so my big hand feels just as comfortable…but only 2 side buttons :( I admit logitech got me. I also got the power play 2 mousepad so I’ll never need to recharge my mouse ever again. My mousemat goes on top of it
