Keyboard or solidworks and autoCAD

I love the initiative of trying to get a keyboard with extra buttons, but I have tried A LOT of different solutions for this and by far the best thing to do is just re-map all of your most-used hotkeys to single-button shortcuts on your left hand, no fancy keyboard needed. That way your right hand n

Linus Tech Tips - Every Product I Couldn't Release December 26, 2025 at 12:18PM

Are there any solid modular mice recommendations? My favorite mouse is the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED for the extra buttons and use of a AA battery. But they were discontinued and now sell for almost $400 if I ever need a replacement. Bonus points if I can remap it with Linux (SteamOS)

Additional equipment for Lightroom Classic Editing?

I love using my Logitech G604 mouse with 6 buttons by the thumb. I've added macros for LR and PS to it. Speeds up most processes quite a bit. Too bad the G604 is now EOL and no replacement is been launched (yet).

Good wireless CAD mouse without software?

I use the Logitech G604. Same situation, I installed the customization software on my home computer and the onboard memory saves the settings. It has 8 customizable buttons and I've been using it for so long I couldn't imagine running any CAD software without it now.

Keyboard vs controller

I spent a ton of hours in the practice range going back and forth between the two inputs. Controller is waaaaay easier to just pickup and play, but once you figure out the awkwardness of mnk it is clearly superior, in my opinion. Take this video for example: https://youtu.be/kr_tPDYppFo?si=0C43o0McY

Since Razer has many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many instances of poor quality, why even buy from them?

Quality can be hit or miss. At least for myself, the only major issue in quality in a Razer product was a key typing issue with a keyboard I gifted once (black widow ornata? Orange keys). I also got their 7.1 headphones once but returned them because they sounded awful without a sound card for the p

I Have to Leave :(

It's certainly been among my considerations... but as much as I worried about gaining all the extra buttons in my switch from the G700s to the G604 - now I worry about losing too many 😅. The switch from the G604 to the G502 would be moving from 8 auxiliary buttons on the left of the mouse down to 5

I fixed the worn out rubber coating on my G502 X Lightspeed.

Happened to my g604 - all rubber exterior became nasty and started peeling of. Was considering throwing it away but had not found anything to replace it with - I use my mouse for productivity and 6 side buttons is irreplaceable. Appears, there are a lot of spare parts for Logitech mice on Aliexpress

How do ya’ll commute with your mouse? This is my way so far:

That's a logitech G604, I'd go with a pelican case. They do not make them like that anymore (closest is the razer naga v2 hyperspeed.) and the few new ones retail for 200+ I eventually need to replace the switches on my 604.

Gaming Mouse: How do you prefer to use the layout for WoW?

The ideal is something akin to the Logitech G602 and G604. Neither mouse was perfect, especially in build quality, but 2 additional index finger-buttons, and 6 thumb buttons is right in the sweet spot. Enough to get essentials like stances, panic buttons, on-the-move spells, and 'enter' on it, but n
