Is anyone else like autistically hyper aware of all the nasty shit modern TVs have enabled by default that's supposed to enhance the image but instead make it look DOGSHIT

My new LG C5 OLED has 10 BS A.I. and processing settings enabled on every input and every app. You cannot universally disable it (eventhough the settings have an "apply to all inputs" option). You must open every app, dig through the menus and manually disable each option for each input and each app

LG announces new OLED TVs at CES — brighter G6, the C6 splits in two, ultra-thin Wallpaper OLED, and the world's first 4K 120Hz cloud gaming TVs

"The LG C6H is only available in 77-inch and 83-inch models, and the crucial difference here is that it uses a Primary RGB Tandem panel – the same kind of panel used in the LG G5, which was LG's flagship from last year. This means it should be majorly brighter than the LG C5 was in those sizes – LG

OLED vs QD-OLED

I know you don’t have it as an option, but take a look at Sony offerings if you can. The Bravia 8 II OLED in my opinion is the best of the bunch for movies and some gaming. Outside of that, the 65” S90F in Europe gets the QD panel - though verify before purchase of course - and that is absolutely su

[r/colorists X LG OLED TV] Event: Perfect Black Meets Perfect Grade - Experience LG OLED C5 This Black Friday 🎨

Colorists don't use LG C5 as their ref monitor, it's a Client review monitor. And the word Client here often means people who have no technical knowledge of post-production. I've never in my career had a Director or DP ask me to turn on the LG/Sony/Panasonic OLED TV in my suite during a grading sess

Do I need a high end tv?

I bought an S90f and then replaced it with an LG C5. Honestly I have been disappointed by how little upgrade it made to my viewing enjoyment over my previous smaller and way cheaper edge lit TV... The LG is a good TV, but it just doesn't make a big difference when you're watching internet content in

Just bought a lg c5. Should I get a smart device (appletv, Roku 4k, fire stick 4k)?

Unless the LG C5 has changed drastically since the LG C2 the LG OS sucks in regards to being clunky and slow. At least it was when I first bought it. Haven't used it since the first day I got it. I always planned to get the Apple 4K TV. I did that with both LG C2s I bought because I stream with both

$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out.

I have a 15 year old Samsung LCD tv that looks better than my LG C5 OLED with standard HD content. It’s got the heavy flat glass base and still looks good. Still bright as well. Amazing TV.

Objective QD-OLED vs IPS comparison

I just went from a 1440p 27 inch LG IPS panel, to an LG C5 42 inch 4k OLED TV, but I ended up returning it today so I'm back on the IPS. I do still intend to go with a 1440p OLED when I see one for a good price, OLED was very much a better overall experience than my old IPS one for raw image quality
