Living in Vancouver and Allergies
Perhaps try air purifier like the https://levoit.com/products/vital-100s-p-smart-air-purifier Might needed multiple units and placements in key locations to get the best coverage in your home … Also this time of the year there are plenty pollen floating around that triggers allergies issues for me …

just became aware of bird fanciers lung
I am super pleased with my Levoit air filters. The one in my bed room Is Vital 100S-P. They work great. I like the rectangular one the best as I can set it closer to furniture because it doesn’t pull air in from the back. There are many models too, if you wanted to start with something g smaller. Al

Best air purifier under 100$
Recommend Levoit Vital 100S-P regularly priced at $139 but with deals/discounts you can get it for less than $100.

Is the Levoit Core 200S-P worth it for $30?
The Core 200S-P is undersized for your needs. Top Smoke CADR is 90 CFM. The AHAM 2/3 rule requires minimum Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) of 96 CFM for a 144 sq. ft. room. Since you have allergies and elevated pollen, CADRs should be even higher... probably around 144 CFM or greater. Higher CADRs

Which one of these purifiers would you recommend
See the AutoModerator comment. Purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust as it's large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. This applies even more so to pet hair. A purifier will only capture large dust particles and cat hairs floating very close to the air intake. Purifiers

Should I call the health department
If you think that will help, then do it. It probably won't cause problems for you, but I think management might already be doing everything that's their legal responsibility. Outside looking in, I would expect them to be gone within about 3 months. That's how I would take "soon". I think you need to

Tried pine pellets but can’t stand the lack of odor control. Now what?
I use the Levoit Air Purifier Vital 100S-P. It runs full time and my fan is set to level 2. The pre-filter is washable (once a month) which is nice. But the carbon filter needs replacing every 8 to 12 months. I have 2 longhair cats and this has worked for me.
