AI crisis: Affordable Lenovo ThinkPad laptops are getting expensive
Yes. It was time to update my ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 3 OLED. I think it was $7k AUD around 2020 so I had that amount budgeted over time to replace about now. I want another OLED, 2-4TB SSD, 64-128GB memory and great video card. Priced up multiple ThinkPad models to around ~$12k-$16k AUD. Fuuuuuuuck

X2P-42-100 Benchmarks/Review?
The Geekbench GPU compute performance is really poor on these GPUs for some reason, relative to the 8 Elite Gen 5. The current numbers we have for the X2-85 wildly vary and it's not a big sample size but I would have expected OpenCL to be significantly better on the Adreno X2-85 than the Adreno 840

What's an Alternative for Gaming Laptops that aren't Gaming Laptops but Can Still Handle Gaming
I tried to do what you are trying to do. I got a ThinkPad X1E Gen 3 thinking it is powerful enough with a GTX-1650Ti Max-Q 4GB to atleast play games that were then a few years old. Not really. It failed to even play Ark. My Lenovo Y50-70 from 2015 played games better than the X1E from 2020. As other

Help me buy a Thinkpad!!!!
Sounds like somebody's been watching influencer content. Business and workstation computers rarely have gamer graphics. Some workstations share chassis with related consumer models, e.g. Dell Precision and this model of XPS: Dell XPS 15 7590 (i7-9750H, 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 15.6", Windows 11 Pro, GTX
