For $600 in Europe (Windows only), look for these solid office picks: Lenovo ThinkPad E14 / E15 (Ryzen 5 preferred) – great keyboard, reliable HP ProBook 445/450 G9 – good build, business-class Acer Aspire 5 (Ryzen 5 or i5) – best value, easy to find Dell Inspiron 14/15 (Ryzen 5) – decent all-rounde

Here, The T480(s) generation was replaced with T14(s) Gen3 AMD. Drastically improved CPU/iGPU performance (6th gen Ryzen7 has 8 cores, iGPU faster than dGPU on T480), first gen that reverted to 16:10 displays again. Real-world battery life when new was around nine hours with the WUXGA screen, quiet

Nope, other than the hinge issue it’s solid as a rock. Maybe the keyboard is wearing out quicker than I’d expect it to. But the rest of the laptop has been great so far. The cooling system is a absolute insanity. The little thing never get higher than 60c. Not to mention that it’s extremely light, l

Yeah that HP 14 is fine for general work, school, Zoom, docs, emails, etc it’ll handle what you need. If you want something higher quality for a similar price, these are good options: Dell Inspiron 14/15 solid everyday laptop, Lenovo ThinkPad E14 / L14 great keyboard and reliability, Acer Swift 3 li

For that price, I think it's an OK deal: Spec-wise that E14 gen5 AMD (2024) roughly comparable with T14 gen2 AMD (2021) or L14 gen3 AMD). E14 gen5 AMD also comes either with 47wh or 57wh battery vs 50wh (T14 gen2 AMD). It should last at least 5 hours (or 5.5 hours) or more in lighter office apps and

Get a Lenovo Thinkpad, preferably an AMD Ryzen 7 one. There are several models that fit, choose one that fits your budget but make sure it charges with USB C (I think they all do, but check anyways). Even the ThinkPAD E14 that I got from a Pawn Shop a few months ago (around 200 USD), has Ryzen 7, 16

ASUS Vivobook S14 (i5 H-series): Smooth multitasking, 70Wh battery (8-10hrs), durable MIL-STD, USB-C charge. Perfect longevity 4-5yrs, good looks. Lenovo ThinkPad E14: Upgradeable RAM/SSD, excellent keyboard for coding, sturdy build. Student fave.

Hey,For your use case, you don’t need a gaming GPU, just a solid CPU, good RAM, and a machine that won’t cook itself under load. In the $800–$1,000 range, the sweet spot is usually something like a Lenovo ThinkPad (E14/E15 or even an L-series if it’s on sale), a Dell Inspiron or Latitude, or the HP

120's fine for a T495, I'd even say it's probably better than usual but I haven't priced one out of late. You heard wrong about the E series and whoever said that to you did you a disservice. E series has literally never actually been a rebranded IdeaPad, or as bad as IdeaPads in build quality. They
