Recommend me a large cheap tablet for reading pdfs.
That's what I use-- the Lenovo ideaTab pro 12.7 is very readable, but it can get a little heavy to hold sometimes. You have to de-crap-ify some of the Lenovo software but otherwise it's a solid choice and a good value at around $400 USD-- hopefully about 300 pounds in the UK for the OP.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus 12.1"; Android 15, well built, 2.5k IPS panel. More than that and you'll be looking for used tablets to keep it under $300 without it being a PoS

My first drawing tablet
What you’re looking for is essentially a standalone tablet, aka an android tablet with stylus (iPads are outta the range unless you look for last last gen used), at that price I’d say something like a Samsung tab S6 lite or Lenovo idea tab, or a Xiaomi pad 2 is right around the price. Although the X

Any tablet suggestions under budget.
Lenovo Idea Tab Pro either with 12Gb RAM or with 8 GB RAM and a Lenovo Pen booth with 256 GB Rom available. Around 300-350 and sometimes cheaper. Big size and great speakers and performance. Only downside is the brightness but in closed rooms for studying probably not a problem.

I use the lenovo IdeaTab pro matte Edition. Very nice to read on but one downside is the battery drain even when unused. The pen is nothing special and needs direct charging viable cable. If those are not a major issues for you, great value for money.

Comic tablet reccommendation
The Onn 12.1 appears to be out of stock. The 12.1" Lenovo Idea Tab Plus at $200ish is a good alternative. The 12.7" Pro is currently only $250!

Drawing tablet
Does she want a tablet to connect to a PC - a graphic pad/tablet - or does she want an individual and complete device, like an Android tablet? In the latter case, I just bought the Lenovo Idea Tab, which was really cheap and works well for drawing. It may not have the power and speed of an iPad or t

Tablet for comics, 12'', ~$400 budget, possibly Android, snappy and updates for as long as possible?
Lenovo Idea Tab Pro! Literally bought it for the same use case and it’s amazing. 12.9” screen is close to the size of a modern comic, screen is bright enough indoors and the thing is snappy. Usually on sale, I bought it new from Lenovo’s website for $275 ish
