Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII

Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

I'm Mike Shea, writer for SlyFlourish.com and author of Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master and our new book on Kickstarter, Rise of the Lazy Gamemaster. AMA!

A lot of different kinds but probably two big categories: 70s era rock (Neil Young, Black Sabbath, Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac) Video game soundtracks (Horizon Forbidden West, Darkest Dungeon, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Clair Obscur, and so on). When I'm writing I can't listen to music with

I have no idea what I’m doing

I would choose different speakers. (Besides your Crutchfield links don’t work. Don’t try to escape the underscores.) EAC review of Klipsch RP-600M Spending less on the amplifier (go with e.g. Yamaha A-S301) and slightly over budget with better speakers. E.g. ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63-BK (EAC review).

A Compilation of 50+ Blind Tests Reveal the Only Gear Upgrade That Actually Matters

I have Klipsch RP-600m ii speakers powered by a Denon DM-41. My system sounds great, and it's plenty loud for my needs.

For vinyl listening, may I ask the what you'd go with pertaining to Kef Q150/Q350 or Klipsch RP-600M ii.

No experience with the KEF, but I had the predecessor to the Klipsch RP-600M II, which was the RP-160M. They were fantastic. I used the tone controls on my integrated amp to dial down the treble a bit and to dial up the bass a bit. They sounded like small towers, which they kind of were. Now, I have

First-time vinyl purchase

Ah, yeah you should for sure upgrade from that. Idk what your budget is, but check out the U-turn orbit, Pro-ject T1 or the Rega Planar 1. And then get some good speakers. Like the Kef Q150 or Klipsch RP-600M That would get you a real solid setup for under $1k.

Edifier R1280T to Denon AVR-1611?

Here are a few options that impressed me on brief listens, they should be around your price range, used. Please remember, these sounded good to my tastes, try and research user feedback on these before pulling the trigger. https://elac.com/db62 Diamond 12.2 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) [Last Call] – Wh

I have no idea what I’m doing

ELAC's Debut 3.0 would definitely be a great speaker, assuming whatever amp he chooses can drive them well at 6 Ohms, 87 dB sensitivity. I chose the combo I did (Klipsch RP-600M & Cambridge AXA35) because (a) the Klipsches are very sensitive, allowing even a modestly-powered amp to drive them withou
