I made one mistake (well, that I know of) in my setup and it killed my sound quality

Spending $20k on a system built around KLH Model Three's is something, I'll give you that. Calling it a "balanced" system is taking the absurdity to another level.

Looking for speakers in the 1.5-3k range

FWIW the Lintons fit perfectly on KLH Model Three stands. I didn’t care for the official Linton stands either.

This is getting ridiculous

Klh model threes. They are an old school design based on the famous ones back in the day when they were first released. They are a suspension design. The woofers are paper material which gives them a nice tone.

What I've learned about the KLH Model Threes and other things speaker related

I’ve owned the KLH Model 3’s for three years and can add some thoughts here:- For all the accolades given the Model 5, the 3’s are amazing. The sealed box makes positioning and sub integration much easier.- On matching equipment, they need power but not gobs of it. I started with an Arcam SA20 and t

Is Speaker Sensitivity the Main Factor for Low Volume Listening?

I have KLH model Threes, which are like 88db sensitivity, and 6 ohms. I'm driving them with 80 watts (into 8 ohms) from a Rotel a14mkII. Late night listening at low volumes benefits from a one or two step bass increase, but it's not necessary and I don't always do it. I think the consensus is you ma

What bookshelf speakers should I purchase for a warm sound?

KLH and Wharfedale are spot on. Even newer KLH kit has that warmth you get from a closed cabinet design. Model Threes could be an interesting thing to look at OP.

Think I narrowed it down, change my mind

I know you want a built in streamer/amp, but if I were you this is what I would do: EverSolo T8 ($1380) this is a transport (no dac) Denafrips Pontus 15th ($2019) Denafrips Iris 15th ($559) or add a Furman Elite 15th Pfi (623.95) It's a tossup, but I'd almost lean to the Furman. Get both if you can

Recommendation needed

Depending on your budget KLH Model 3, Wharfdale EVO 4.2 or Diamond 12's. I'm a bit of a Wharfdale fan I have the EVO's and Super Lintons. I also have a WIIM pro plus which would be great with the The Fives but spend the extra for the Sevens I liked their sound in the stores listening room more than

New audio gear day!

The KLH Model 5’s have gotten a lot of love here and on YouTube and rightfully so. I’ve had the Model 3’s with an SVS SB2000 Pro for a few years now and they are amazing. They were great with my Arcam SA20 and now even better with the Musical Fidelity M6Si. Please give your Model 3’s time to break i

Small Apt Treatment?

Hey there! Looks very similar to what I had in NYC years ago, lovely space. The right corner is problematic both for speaker placement and for acoustics. No matter which speakers you choose, you will need bass traps in that corner. A GIK Acoustics Turbotrap in pretty much any fabric color you want w
