Sounds like you are looking for a row staggered split. You can find pre-owned Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB keyboards on eBay, that is what I did a couple years back. Skip the Freestyle2. Eerie Experience: Kinesis Freestyle Pro w/ Cherry MX Silent Red (Linear Switch)

I have this one to- silent reds- Agreed, the typing experience isnt the greatest got the new kinesis freestyle edge rgb and that one is better when it comes to keys- got the gateron browns, tactile; id say give that a go

Why Mac users love the Mac keyboard

For the type of keyboard that it is, Apple's keyboards are pretty good. The Macbook Pro's keyboard is above average. But on the desktop, my current favorite board is the Kinesis Freestyle Edge - split mechanical; the Brown and Blue switches are both good.

Kinesis mWave Linear + White Questions

Alright, you have all convinced me to go to a fully-split keyboard. The only question now, is which REGULAR layout split mechanical keyboard would be best?

Given that price point, you should probably also take a look at the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB. I don't think it's aluminum, but is the one we ended up getting my wife back when she was recovering from a broken wrist. I just did a quick search and it's currently $159 and has 3 different switch optio
