Is Keychron a good choice for a reliable keyboard?

No. I cannot in good faith recommend Keychron any longer. I used to be a huge champion of their products, but something is wrong as of late and they don't seem to be doing anything about it. If you want a prebuilt keyboard, I'd look at Wobkey (Rainy75, Crush80) or Womier/Yunzii, both brands of which

Keychron is a scam company, please DO NOT BUY.

If you by "they" mean the people who had problems, some of them have troubleshooted it, found the root cause, and fixed it/repaired it. Warranty, if the process works, is the correct action, but the point is that the causes of this problem are fairly well known. Misaligned plates Due to the physical

Are Keychron switches supposed to die this fast?

Are you sure it is the switches? Have you done controlled experiments? For example, does a suspect switch still fail if inserted back in (in a different location)? Reseat before exchanging. Help me chose

i would not recommend the full size keychron. the V6 max is (or was) faulty. "allegedly" they fixed the manufacturing issues, but they never had a recall for all faulty products so ones with issues are still being sold. the major issue is that the keys in the middle of the keyboard would not work ou

Creamy Keyboard Recommendations

I just got my Aula F99 pro with the Star Vector switches today and it is the creamiest keyboard I've ever had the honor of using. Its LEAGUES ahead of my Keychron V6 Max with the Gateron Bananas. Also the keycaps are much better quality.

Keychron Q6 or V5 Max? Difference of $15 so I can't decide!

Q6. It is fully supported by QMK and Vial (because it a wired-only keyboard). It is in the main QMK project. Thus it supports the latest and greatest features. And you don't have to worry about managing the battery's charge state (or a fire). Don't participate in the lottery Getting a V5 Max is risk

Keychron is a complete scam, dont buy from them

I am SO glad I got my keyboard via Amazon. I haven't even had my V6 max for a month, and its acting up. I reached out to Keychron first and haven't heard back yet... But I'm definitely getting all their SPAM. Reached out to Amazon and that same day I was able to get a replacement... Now they want me

Keychron v6 Max (for mac); how bout that option key

Downgrade the keyboard firmware You can downgrade the keyboard firmware to before 2025. This will get 6KRO back, avoiding the many problems with the (forced) NKRO. For example, for the V6 Max, firmware happens to be on GitHub (that isn't the case for all Keychron keyboards). For example, keychron_v6_m

Is the V6 Max THAT bad?

I bought the Keychron V6 Max last week and initially used it with a cable. When I tried switching to Bluetooth and the dongle, neither worked—I was never able to get the keyboard into pairing mode, and the dongle didn’t connect either. On top of that, the first unit I received had a reversed volume
