Budget boards end up so fun to type on

oh, fair enough. i get that modding comment you made initially now... you'd be surprised though - many people i know prefer the hollow sound of undamped plastic. and there are a load that don't really care about sound too much like me i do agree with budget switches + long sessions... there are a lo

Backlight

Re "Is there any way to boost the brightness of the backlight of the key itself?": Presuming it is already at maximum brightness by Fn + W (or Fn + knob (if the keyboard has a knob)), only by using keycaps with better shine-through characteristics That may be difficult for the south-facing LEDs on t

Keychron K4 V2 white led looks yellowish?

First reset to factory defaults Unspecific, but par for the course is resetting to factory defaults and reflashing the keyboard firmware. Though reflashing the keyboard firmware is risky business for the original K series with proprietary keyboard firmware (which includes the K4 V2). It is a differe

Any good 96% keyboard recommendations?

Based on what I could find, the Varmilo Minilo98 Pro seems far and away the closest to what you are looking for. Depending on your definition of too pricey, this might be out of budget. It's $179 US + shipping and fees on the Varmilo web site https://varmilo.com/products/minilo98-pro?variant=4562986

Got small rain on Keychron K4 v2

You can try completely disassembling it, gently polish-cleaning it, and looking for damaged traces or traces bridged by dried debris. Like this: https://imgur.com/a/zebrawood-board-disassembled-cleaning-XDKa8sW This would be the closest replacement: https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k4-qmk-

Consoom all the keyboards.

I don’t have as many keyboards as a person in a post, but from what I tried, I was surprised by the quality of evo75. I couldn’t believe how affordable, beautiful and high quality it is. I also suggest you to pay attention to what layout you prefer ISO or ANSI. It is quite important, I absolutely pr

Maybe this is sacrilege but is there any good wireless mechanical keyboards that aren't like $250?

I was sick of tripping over cables so I grabbed a Keychron K4 v2 and it’s been rock solid.

Holding Alt stops some keys from working

(K4 V2 is in the original K series. Only K4 V3 got QMK support.) It probably doesn't apply to the original K series, but RGB light off is a problem for some later Keychron keyboards.
