I didn't use them before but after getting them, I can't imagine typing without wrist rests. For ref, my two daily are Keychron K2 HE SE and Realforce R3. A wooden wrist rest goes extremely well with the K2 HE SE.

I use a Keychron K2 HE. I’m loving the magnetic switches as you get that tactile feeling without the loud clickitys. It’s small enough to travel nicely in my backpack.
