Keychron battery safety?

K2 v3 is newer and is QMK-based (and the source code has been released for this particular model). Re "the battery inside Keychron's boards tends to swell quite easily. How does this information hold up today?": It isn't really known, though there are some claims it works better. Assume it is just a

Which Keychron keyboard would be best for me?

Here is a list of full-size Keychron keyboards. Be aware of: Keycaps that are not shine-through, even if pictures seem to suggest they are. Resellers often also list it incorrectly (probably honest mistakes) The blinding light. The very limited selection of shine-through keycaps, especially for ISO

Keychron Q3 HE calibration issue

Related (at least the symptoms are very similar): Defective key on K2 HE Though, if you are lucky, it is something on PCB shorting out (which you could remove). But it is unlikely.

75% Mech Keyboards with QMK/VIA for Linux in the $40-$60 range?

Brown switches have fairly weak tactile bumps, the banana are a little more poppy and smoother. The ones I like the best are the Akko Creamy Purple Pro, Gateron Beer, Outemu Silent Yellow Jade, and Kailh Silent Whale. But so long as you get the hotswap board you're not locked in. The exploded 75% la

Will never buy a Keychron again. Double typing.

I have a Keychron K2 Max and had an issue with a key not registering. Swapped switches and the issue came back. Updated the firmware and things so far seem to have stabilized, but I will not be buying a Keychron ever again. Despite the keyfeel being nice, the layout/key switches/keycaps matching wha

75% Keyboard Recommendation with Delete, Home, and End keys

The K2 is actually the standard 75% layout... it's basically the same as my first 75% keyboard back in the 90s. The exploded layout with the knob is kind of new. I would avoid the V1 or the Q1 because Keychron has been having problems with the switches popping out when the gasket mounted PCB and pla

Defective Key on K2 HE

I bought two K2 HE keyboards and recently one of them has the same issue, non functioning keys. Mine is the “Up arrow” and “< ,” keys. I’ve reached out to the local distributor and they suggested it might be a PCB issue. Since it’s passed warranty(early adopter in 2024) they suggested a ridiculous p

Assistance needed for Keyboard Upgrade

New Keychron K2. I wouldn't recommend the V or Q series. They've been having problems with faulty boards and horrible support. Don't get the Gamakay TK75HE V2. The V1 was quite nice but the new one uses Attack Shark's fraudulently advertised website and the whole thing is kind of sus. Other decent 7
